1) Make sure your post screws are tight. 2) Make sure your coil is situated directly in front of the air hole. 3) Check to see if your coil elevated off of the deck enough to keep e-liquid from clinging between the coil and deck. This could restrict air flow around the coil. 4) vape happy

Morning peeps! Rob is still doing spas on REOs, correct? I have two that have needed to go in for seriously 4 months and I just have such a hard time parting with them :(

Absolutely Angi. Probably best to give him a call, discuss what you want done and get instructions about what to send in. You typically don't include the extra bits & bobs - like doors, attys and even your bottle. And puleeeze anyone sending stuff in for spawerks clean your gear first.

Phone number is always available on the web site if you don't have it.

Perhaps a dumb question but here goes. How do you know when to change the battery on these? While I appreciate the "your mileage will vary" caveat I'm wondering how will I know when to swap in a new one. Thanks in advance.
Most, not all, notice the flavor drop off. But if busy it's easy to not notice that. I typically change my batt when it drops below 3.9 cuz that's usually when the vape drops off. I have something similar to this
Durable Waterproof 3.0 to 30V Blue LED Panel Meter DC Digital Voltmeter Two-wire

If your battery charger shows volts, you can use that also, or a DMM digital multimeter
7 Function Digital Multimeter

I hate to go all Zen on your ....... but you will get a feel for it pretty quick. As Deb said it will be something in the performance dropping off that you don't like as much.

If I could offer any advice it's that while you are figuring that drop-off point out - check your battery voltage more than you would like to. Almost every good 18650 in the market today (that would mean everything except those older chemistry batteries we avoid - on purpose) is acceptable to drain as low as 2.5 volts. Long term, going that low repeatedly might impact the usable life span of a battery - but it won't turn it into some kind of 'death bomb' either. If you want me to look up the safe low-limit voltage for a specific battery I will see what I can find.

The only other point of concern might be having a charger than can deal with a battery dropped into the 2.5 volt range. Most current chargers are good, some dual LiOn/NiMh chargers go dumb about it.

Chances are you will notice a me-no-likee performance drop-off before you get anywhere close to 3.5 volts even.

My brother made me one of those with spare parts he had left over from building his own mods. He got sick of his failure rate and had lots of leftover parts.

Check your battery often at first. This will give you an idea how long the charge lasts. If you can tell the difference by feel, great. But, if you can't, then figure out how low your bottle of juice gets by the time the battery needs to be changed.

IOW, experiment.

Did he give up and buy a Reo?
Nope. That was back in the Twist days. He just stuck with Twists for a long time. He wasn't looking for mechanical.

And, now it's just as cheap to buy VV/VW as it is to make it.

If you want to keep it simple, swap batteries when you refill your juice. I'm not sure what kind of batteries you're using, but nearly all of the better ones will easily get you through 6ml of juice [emoji846]

Rob would pitch a fit on occasion about the... erm... "kinda messy" stuff he would get in for repair some times. Beyond being a common courtesy some of the Reos were just - gross.

I've definitely seen some questionable material in some! Lol But for the majority they are well kept.

Messing around with it a bit. Little tweaks with the coil and such. All good.
