we did a rough figuring on how much to fix it up and well it was a lot and a lot of sweat equity but it was going to be my retirement home
Another one will come up hopefully I can catch it as our bubble breaks if it ever does we are looking at about 100k made off this in 4 years so far

Aren't you a little young to move into a retirement home?:)
Haha far from it this is supposed to be my retirement job. Im a farmer at heart so I want to be set up with a small hobby farm by the time I retire. Something better will come along we can probably even afford more than what we've been looking at if we hang on a little while. maybe something I don't have to do a full reno on

Good Morning Reonauts. Heat Indexes stuck into the 100*F - 105*F here for several days now. We need cloud cover for several days just to cool things off, but doubtful it will happen. This area is known for 270 + days of sunshine, and add a flow of "Gulf Moisture" that streams across the Southeast, and it will probably be unmercifully hot/ humid until October.
Darrel, it took nearly two years and four bid/ contracts before Mamaw and I found this place. Our obstacle was the Veterans Assessor, who could be a real hard .... I was asked repeatedly by the bank and by realtors "Why don't you just drop the VA ?"
"Because it took four years of my life to earn those benefits."
Mamaw and I were just talking the other day about how we have been here for 12 years now. I have lived at this address longer than any other in my lifetime. It's my "Homeplace" now. But it took several efforts to get here. And it was worth it. So hang in there. Finding your own Homeplace is worth the effort.

Have a Safe and Blessed Sunday :nun:

Good morning Reonauts :)
Summer is definitely upon us.

So, my wayward package is at the post office!!:banana::banana: (my post office ;) )
Had their website updated in real time, I could've picked it up yesterday. Now it will be Tues. Oh well, just happy it's not bouncing around between postal hubs anymore.

the problem here right now is prices are very high and rising most places are being up bid even looked at one recently that we missed out on and it went for 36k over asking and thats a low up bid for here right now. in 4 years my place has risen by about 100k

i'm sure we'll get the hang of things as the guillotine descends.

Perhaps.

Maybe we'll just return to smoking. i really miss loads of people telling me i have a dangerous and filthy habit that costs a lot of money.

i have other disgusting and filthy habits too Kay, but you know that!

One of two patina doors I ordered. The other door is a standard (non SL) door. I'd post pics of the other, but it has some fitment issues. My guess is that when Rob clear coated it, the clear was left a little to thick on the edges. When I try to put the door on any of my Reos, it hangs up about half way on. I'm gonna have to sand down the edges a little to get it to slide up inside the grooves of the mods.

Wow! Nice picture of a beautiful piece of art! Thanks for the eye candy.
Been really busy working and neglected to bop in and say "hey!" (Not that I don't take a couple of minutes each day to read thru this thread and our Technical Thread to stay connected). I spent this afternoon over in our Technical Thread getting some wise and helpful tips. Once again, Reonauts came thru. So grateful to be part of this kind and sometimes silly family. Reoville is alive and well. Thanks Rob for setting the example.
