I know the feeling, been there done that. Hang in there.
Morning everyone Im sitting on eggshells just put an offer in on a place last night beautiful property and house has potential is a nice way to put it2.3 acres and so private. Im excited yet terrified too its going to be a lot of work and money
we did a rough figuring on how much to fix it up and well it was a lot and a lot of sweat equity but it was going to be my retirement homeWell, it's probably got a sinkhole.

Haha far from it this is supposed to be my retirement job. Im a farmer at heart so I want to be set up with a small hobby farm by the time I retire. Something better will come along we can probably even afford more than what we've been looking at if we hang on a little while. maybe something I don't have to do a full reno onAren't you a little young to move into a retirement home?![]()
the problem here right now is prices are very high and rising most places are being up bid even looked at one recently that we missed out on and it went for 36k over asking and thats a low up bid for here right now. in 4 years my place has risen by about 100kGood Morning Reonauts. Heat Indexes stuck into the 100*F - 105*F here for several days now. We need cloud cover for several days just to cool things off, but doubtful it will happen. This area is known for 270 + days of sunshine, and add a flow of "Gulf Moisture" that streams across the Southeast, and it will probably be unmercifully hot/ humid until October.
Darrel, it took nearly two years and four bid/ contracts before Mamaw and I found this place. Our obstacle was the Veterans Assessor, who could be a real hard .... I was asked repeatedly by the bank and by realtors "Why don't you just drop the VA ?"
"Because it took four years of my life to earn those benefits."
Mamaw and I were just talking the other day about how we have been here for 12 years now. I have lived at this address longer than any other in my lifetime. It's my "Homeplace" now. But it took several efforts to get here. And it was worth it. So hang in there. Finding your own Homeplace is worth the effort.
Have a Safe and Blessed Sunday![]()
Bit late to the game isn't he?

Wow! Nice picture of a beautiful piece of art! Thanks for the eye candy. One of two patina doors I ordered. The other door is a standard (non SL) door. I'd post pics of the other, but it has some fitment issues. My guess is that when Rob clear coated it, the clear was left a little to thick on the edges. When I try to put the door on any of my Reos, it hangs up about half way on. I'm gonna have to sand down the edges a little to get it to slide up inside the grooves of the mods.
