different flavour profile on wire art

lots say "more flavour", which it isn't, it just highlights different notes

i vape unflavoured, and don't chase clouds, so my parallel 26awg contact coils suit me fine

i don't know what i chase, not flavour, not clouds, just nic, i think

I find this, too - 'exotic' wire is mostly just different in terms of flavour. Since I mix my juice, I can make any adjustments I care to for profile constituents there.

Interesting that you say you think you chase nic. My sense is that you (we) chase sensation - more a physical satisfaction than a taste thing. When I smoked, I would never have couched satisfaction in terms of flavour (I smoked bland Canadian cigarettes). For me, the flavour fun beyond the sensation with vaping is a bonus, not the main goal. A fun one, granted, and one I happily fiddle with... as long as the sensation is satisfying.

Ah, the maker. Now there's an atty that doesn't get the attention it deserves, IMHO. Very surprised that it hasn't been more popular.

Why Ni80, BTW? Heat curve?

I suck at 'true' parallels - I just don't have the patience. I do like me some twisted wire, though. It winds and mounts just like straight single wire and takes only minutes to make 4 months worth, unlike claptons or other more involved combination wires. You can buy premade clapton wire, but I find it's dear in price compared to other wire and my inner scotsman gets grumpy about that (yev got spools of pairfectly gud wire in yer bin, ya bell end bint, he says).
I love the Maker. I have 2 of them and in use every day. It just chucks the flavor and is leak proof. It has just the right amount of air for me. I like a slightly restricted DL draw. I don't get into those ultra airy cloud chuckers. No flavor in those. Same reason I love the Stumpy. I have 4 and in constant use. It took awhile of buying a bunch of stuff before I came down to what I really liked. I don't go looking anymore for the latest and greatest.
I like the Ni80 as it gives me heat a whole lot faster than Kanthal and tastes cleaner to me. I've used SS and have a bunch of it, but in mechanicals, I don't like the way the hit tapers off as it gets warmed up. I do have about a dozen premade ss fused Claptons which I only use in a regulated mod.

Oh, and I do still have an RM2 for those times I feel like tootle puffing and a couple O16's, a couple of Nardas, and a few more. I don't always hit it hard and heavy, but I do most of the time. Just my style. I still remember that good jolt I got with that first morning cigarette. I love the same jolt now, over 3 years later. I guess that's one reason I don't really like the single coil builds for my normal vaping. Just feels rather anemic to me. But, again, that's just me and my style. I actually admire folks who are still happy using little vapes, like my first, an Ego.

I also like the Maker, a lot.
And I stick to very simple builds - usually just dual coils. I'll fiddle with twisted occasionally, or thicker wire if it's in an atty that has to run a single coil...but I HATE "ramp up" time, and I don't like huge airflow - so I stick around 0.4 to 0.5 ohms.

Also, SS makes me cough. No idea why. So I often use 27 g. kanthal to get the resistance/wraps balance I like. That's right, 27. It's in between 26 and 28, lol. Not everyone carries it, but I use it a lot. Fiddling now with some Ni80, which also seems OK for me...

I'm with you. RM2 with a about 1.2 Ohm coil, keeps me going.

Don't know how you guys do it. I'm seeing new coil builds that look like tracks on an Army Tank. Wondering how they build those things too. ;)

I'm still using this ole RM3 with its 14mm Deck using single, basic wraps (28g/ 6wraps /3-32 drill bit /1.12ohms /Cellucotton) with The Virus @ 18mg Nic. It literally kicks my rear up, down, and all around. I slightly cough at times when taking in a big vape. The Flavor/ TH/ and Taste is awesome! I can't think of a reason to change.

the hadaly love wore off for me

i don't like this "directional air" trend. I hated it on the marquee, and don't like it now

it makes the draw feel tank-like

part of the beauty of an RDA is the short length the air travels, adding a quasi tube structure makes the sensation different, not in a good way

i do use a chinarda, but i rotate the cap so air doesn't need to traverse through the posts

I feel the opposite on that. The only thing I like better about the Hadaly than the O16 is the draw. It is perfect for me and so smooth and quiet.

Otherwise after a day of use, I put it right beside the O16 for my use, a perfect companion. Have not had a single drop out of the airholes either, surprisingly. I think its easier to oversquonk the O16, actually.

Shout out to our Ozzie mates who might be getting hammered by Cyclone Debbie.

She's apparently quite a big girl - we, in the pacific NW of NA, are even getting very strong rains from her (so says Russ Lacate, Vancouver's most trusted meteorologist, according to his byline).

Have you ever heard anyone talk about what you might see walking through a Wal Mart ?
They have never spent the night at a truck stop.
First overnight run in five months. I avoid going North in the winter time, these old bones, and my friend Arthur, just cannot tolerate the cold any more. But it's spring time now and it's time to ride. Learning more about this stupid onboard computer as I go. I have only been doing this for 22 years now, but according to our beloved Gub'ment now I need a box on the dashboard to tell me when/ how to drive.
So here I sit. Waiting for this stupid onboard computer to tell me I can start rolling again. ( Around midnight).
If you ever want a different view of humanity, go to a truck stop after dark.

i have some 20g kanthal in my build box here -that'll put hairs on your chest! Quite impractical for a Reo build, but interesting in multi-battery ones.

T

trunker and friend dry burn his new coil...

I'm back!
Update:
Got the cyclone afc was going to send to chowderhead and realized I hated afc top cap. Took about a month but I found the original top cap and I love this thing. Got an extra deck with it too the concave one! Drilled it out myself. I'm actually going to send the other one "2014 flat deck" to Tom for a back up. Now if only I can find the fusion drip tip..:hubba:Phew! Sorry I've been gone hope everyone is doing good!

Yep, that... um... happens. Like, a lot.

Next up, the graal (while you puff away on your nifty cyclone)?
Graal is my favorite atomizer name ever. Because I used to play Graal Online as a kid, and to this day have some very fond memories of playing that game.
