I just received my new Super-Vain Grand this week and it is truly beautiful. I was thanking of purchasing the same paint only in a P67 but, at almost the same price, I was able to get a grand and extra rebuilding parts.
Would you mind posting a picture of the super vein? I'm curious to see how it looks.

I've been using your B&B link quite a bit myself. When you posted it, I had a one vintage Gillette razor. Now I have dozens. I don't know if I should thank you or not.
I bought my first safety razor this past October and haven't used any of my old disposables at all. They're collecting dust somewhere. I took to wet shaving like I did vaping!! I have bought and sold at least a dozen vintage and modern razors since starting. I tried a couple vintage Gillette's but they just weren't as efficient as some of the modern razors I have bought. I finally settled on a Schone open comb DE and a Colonial Razors General SE as my go to's for now...
i now have a couple of safety razors - one is crap and the other is a good German one and today i got a cut-throat or straight razor because i'm not cutting myself enough so i need something more difficult to use maybe and a strop etc!

Bear in mind i shave my head too (well apart from the bald bit) so i have become really proficient with a safety. But i have the routine down now and all the aftershave balms and blood-clotting agents (hehe) so it's become quite an indulgence.

My plan is to use the safety during the week, when i am more pressed for time and the real McCoy on the weekends. i haven't used the old Mach3 in a month.

T
I could never use a straight because of the arthritis in my hands. Can't get the angles needed to get a good shave with one... You might want to check out a Muhle R41. Its the one DE out there that cuts like a straight. I had one for a couple weeks but alas it was just a wee bit too aggressive for me!!

Totally off any topic that may be occurring but I had an epiphany today and just have to share. I was driving into town and taking a pull off my Grand and it struck me how much I take that little tool for granted. It changed my life. I was a struggling wreck trying to make one of the current e-cigs pacify my nicotine addiction and then Robert introduced the Grand. Took me 3 or 4 attempts to get an order through in time (and I think I had some inside help even then). I have that same Grand in my hand now as I speak.....or click or.....you know. Its been run over by a log skidder, dropped innumerable times; it has more battle scars than any piece of equipment I own. And with all that, I come home from a long day in the woods, fill the juice bottle, swap the battery and I'm ready for tomorrow. Year after year, it just....does its job. I give her a scrubbing every couple weeks or so and if you were to take a look in the battery/bottle compartment, you'd be aghast. It looks like a den for some small rodent colony. So I flush it out but the Grand hasn't complained. Just...does its job.
We've actually had a few youngsters come out to try the logging trade. A couple of them were vapers and scoffed at my mechanical mod when they saw it. They were packing high-powered regulated mods with enormous tank atties. I wondered how they'd survive in that environment. Ahh, they didn't for long. Sure were pretty though.
The REO products just work...always. If they didn't, Robert would have changed them so they did. I feel fortunate to have found my way to Reoville. If you think about it, there aren't many "sure things" out there in the retail market. Best you can hope for is a good return policy. I think we're lucky we stumbled upon one of the true sure things.:)

Thanks for trying. They didn't come up clickable, so no more detail really, or any bigger for my bad eyes.

Amen!! so have you converted any of those loggin whipper snappers when they're gear went belly up? I'm sure they at least aren't scoffing at you anymore! mine have been bounced off concrete and asphalt a few times cuz I'm clumsy. Stuff that would have killed lesser mods, although no where near the abuse you've thrown at yours :p But I have shown the pic of your log skidder and told your story to many, and I think it converted a few to Reos. Like you said...........it just works! Might be a great slogan for Rob. So grateful to him for making such a great mod, and to the community here

Great story. Thanks for sharing it! I often have the same thoughts about my Reos....except for the log skidded . They are the Ever Ready Bunny of vaping! Grateful indeed. Plus we inherited a fine bunch of helpful friends along with the best mod ever. Haha

Trip is going well. At one point I dropped my REO off a bridge. Miraculously it landed in the branches of a plant on the side of the creek below. I climbed down, waded through the creek, fetched the REO, had a vape, climbed up and carried on :vapor:
lmao! Gotta love it! Glad you found it without breakin yur neck! Gorgeous pics as always

Good morning, long time no post.. I recently moved, and I found my (I thought was lost) REO mini packed away in a box.. Which made me want to fire it up again.. I went to pick up a few supplies at the REO site and read the letter that Robert was "semi" retiring.. Are you guys still purchasing from there? Are the new owners keeping up with the REO tradition?
