I have several other minis that the cyclone fits perfectly, this one the catch cup is noticeably smaller in diameter, it's an earlier mini I'm guessing.

AFAIK the early Reos/Woodvils were designed to run carto's, so they had smaller catch cups. I have some pictures of both from 2010 & 2011 that have carto's on them.

I am not sure, but I think it has been a very long time sense I have seen a post from you. I hope you keep it up. :)

I know very little about these older REO's, just wanted to say Hi :D

KAS

Howdy back at you KAS.

I left ECF back in March 2016 when Rob shut down the Reoville Forum (because it was the only forum on ECF that I ran on). Have been on a foreign forum since, but after over 30 years on line I'm getting burned out on forums, getting way old and dealing with some heavy issues. So cutting back on computer and forum time is prudent. Being a "regular" anywhere on line is probably not going to happen.

Since the old Reoville days I have become completely independent of the vaping industry. I have more gear and supplies for all of it than I could use in several lifetimes. My DIY has advanced to where I can extract all my own flavors now as well, and since I can get VG & PG locally from non vape related companies that also negates any need to do business with the vaping industry anymore.

I only use a few of my Reos for almost all of my vaping, and occasionally a couple from my stash of TC Mods and endless atty's for them. Five Reo P67's with their two dozen favored atty's probably do 95% of all my vaping now days (I still vape 20+ hours daily/7/365).

My Blue Anodized OG Mini dates back to February 2011. It came with a couple of carto's (I hate them), so I bought a new BF Hornet for it (the only atty I could find that would fit in the small catch cup). Fits perfectly in the Janty Stick black leather clip belt holster that dates to 2009 IIRC (and my 5 Mini 1.0's will also fit in it perfectly). I'm not a tootle puffer, couldn't bring myself to drilling out the Hornet for DLH's, so it didn't see much use before I retired it.

I love that blue REO! Beautiful!

I miss the old REO sub forum also, but I still like some interaction. It was not just you that left ECF, there were a lot of people sense then that have gone missing all across the forum. I always liked your posts and input back then, I was just getting into REO's and there was a lot to learn.

I do DIY my juices, but I have not really done any flavor extractions to speak of, I did try to extract one of my old cigars that I used to smoke, but I have never tried to use it in a mix yet, I guess I should try it soon. Are you just extracting tobacco flavoring, or more complex flavors?

I still have just have one P67, an would like to get a few more, I just can't do it right now. I still have my woodvil's, Grands, and the 14500 minis that I use regularly. It was good to see you post again anyway, and I hope you continue to do so, but if not good luck in all that you do. :)

I am still looking for a good replacement for Photobucket, most of my images are too large for the other free hosts I have looked into. I am not going to pay Photobucket $40.00 a month to use their site.:-x

I think I looked at imgur about a week ago, I might look at it again. I know one of the ones I was looking at, said that if not viewed after a certain time period. my pictures would be deleted. It had a good file size capability, but deleting them is unacceptable.

I don't think that xomf is one that came up in any of my search's, that one looks good. I ended up using Imagebam for my signature, but they have a size limit that is way too small. I will try xomf, it looks like it fits the bill. Thanks. :)

It was chai/absinthe among others if I remember correctly.
+1 for nice to hear from you again, Spydro, be well.

I don't do NET's (tobacco extracts), nor do I vape any tobacco products of any kind at all (I do not use nicotine either). I DIY the SNEF's, with most of my flavor extracts being savory flavors (derived mostly from plants) and drink flavors (both alcoholic and non alcoholic). There are a lot of flavors used in vaping that are not practical to extract in a home lab, require expensive equipment, supplies. Fortunately I have never been a fan of most of those flavor profiles, so I didn't vape them anyway.

How to do any of the many different methods you might have to use for extracting different flavor profiles is readily available on line via searches. Some of the methods used are fine for consumption but might be questionable for inhalation, so only you can decide whether to use them or not. Be aware that it takes lots of research, lots of T&E to find your own personal niche and master your own perfect vapes. That's something that only you yourself can do.

Although it doesn't really matter what RBA you are using....

dry hits suck !

Hi Ho Papaw...

Not sure if this was directed at my P67 pic above or not. But if it was 4 of them have Psyclone Mods Kryten RDA's on them, and the OG custom P67 has a Goon LP RDA from 528 Custom Vapes on it.

No sir. I have a post in the Classifieds. Better leave it at that, or I might get scolded....

Congrats (I think) to all our US sisters and brothers, BTW, on the recent FDA decision to postpone PMTA submission deadlines to 2022. In effect, as it's currently understood, the effective grandfather date is Aug 2016, not the original 2007, which means mods like our beloved reos would be spared.

The application process and deadline was something I wondered about for the new reosmods owners - a risk they seem to have come out on the winning end of... at least for now, given the capricious nature of nicotine regulation.

For what it's worth, my country is just now acknowledging that vaping is, like, a thing

I could be wrong, but that's not the way I understood it, from reading the deeming thread.
The only thing that changed was the date the PMTA is required to be filed.
The original 2007 date has to be changed by congress, and the 8/8/16 "no new products" stays the same.
From what the FDA mentioned in the speech, regarding addressing battery safety, I doubt any mech devices will be allowed on the market.
    Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, I think you're right. I misspoke in a sense. The extended PMTA deadline is "effectively" an extension of the grandfathering - all devices as of 8/8/16 are good until 2022. That gives 5 years of relatively clear sailing.

What state and local authorities do in the meantime, however, is anybody's guess.

Good point about mechs, as well. The other interesting point is the future of nic availability, since the overall goal of the FDA with this announcement seems to be the elimination of it.
