Good Morning Reonauts. Yes, I am still alive and breathing. We have officially outrun both of the Treatment Plants where I work. Stopped loading outside carriers, many of our drivers are crossing North and South Carolina for white (untreated) lumber to bring back to the Yard. I personally drove 350 miles round trip yesterday just to get a trailer load of 2 X 4 X 8's. Along with five other of our drivers making the same trip. I've never seen this in the seven years I've been driving for this company.
A special Thanks to xtreme for the Chalice III now heading my way. I have a VV Grand just waiting for it. That will make two such setups. Nothing like a VV Grand/ Chalice III for relaxing a long, hard day. :thumb:

Have a Safe and Blessed Day, and a Great Weekend :)

I'm sure all that overtime is swelling your retirement coffers nicely!

At the start of the year all i heard about from the managers of my company was doom and gloom about how the price of oil falling would mean we'd struggle and business would suffer and i called BS at the time.
Now a third of the way thru the year, we are easily on a par with previous years because as i pointed out, they overlook what hard work allied to some creativity can achieve.

Truckers who are paid by the mile don't get overtime. Just run more miles to get more money. Which has not been a problem for at least a month or more.
Besides, when you are pricing a new roof for the house, extra miles count up :thumb:

i just moved to a place with a new roof, and after the torrential rain of last week, i'm glad of it. What's a roof - $3k? i spend my Saturday mornings now in somewhere like Home Depot - (sorry Jif) and i could use a few more paydays before i start going mad for more vape gear.

My DIL lives in Spring Tex. At the end of their street that's about 3 blks. away, there is a creek that was a raging river for several days. Fortunately it held, but she still had some flooding thru the back door twice just from the falling rain.

2100 sq. ft. roof. 25 to 30 year, 130 mph wind resistant Architectural shingles, plus felt, nails, and other materials comes to about $2300. Daughter's Boyfriend (affectionately referred to Loser #5) has offered to do the roof without charging Labor. Son has offered to help. Add about $450 for dumpster to put old roof into. Might get out with a $5000 roof for around $3000.
Might have to find new pet name for daughter's friend after this is done.
Maybe.
