For you guys thinking about 24 or 26g wire, i've tended to roll with the 26 because it cools down a bit faster. However, i made some duals recently that ended up as 2 x 10 wraps of 26g and they were a bummer to fit because the coil was a bit short of the atty post holes.

In that case, i'd have been better off adding 4 wraps, using 24g and to hell with it!

My favourite wrap in RM2s was a single parallel coil of 4 wraps of 32g kanthal - i'd fold the wire in half and wrap it on some huge silica wick (5mm i think it was) - it always came to 1Ω bang on.

Use your fingernail. Run your nail across the white insulator, from the outside edge toward the positive post. You'll feel the matte. If you do feel the matte, it's likely an authentic. If it's smooth and shiny, it's probably a fake.

Try putting a drop of ejuice in the tube it's a little more slippery. Then just wiggle in on. It may help to remove the plastic cover just careful when reinstalling it not to over tighten.

The reason I'm asking - several reasons actually - is there seem to be colors & finishes that were made which no longer show on the web site. And I was wondering if Rob ever put up images of the front and back of the brass patina models. You can only view the door side on the web site.
