I think that's the big difference I'm starting to notice. When you take a draw with a low resistance kanthal build, you know when to stop. It's starting to get harsh, or hot, or whatever. You know when to stop, and it's time to exhale. With the same resistance build with ss, it seems like you could just continue to draw; limited only by whatever lung capacity you have. It just doesn't seem to become harsher. It's a tough concept to describe, and I may be describing it wrongly. It's just very smooth stuff.
Well said brother. It is a tough concept to describe but I think you did a great job.

Trunker, I have to admit, a Sloth is a pansy with throat hit

I am too. I like to have a little of it in there. But I don't want it overpowering the 'smooth'.
In a clumsy attempt at an analogy; I liken it to how I feel about spicy food, which I love. There's a difference between 'eyes watering' hot, and flavorfully spicy.

Nice analogy. Same way for me with spicy food. I love spicy food but there sure is a difference between eyes watering hot and flavorfully spicy.

Reminds me of when I lived in TN, there was a Korean restaurant that was my absolute favorite restaurant ever. They had a scale of 1-10 for how spicy you want it. I slowly worked my way up to 10 and then told the owner that 10 wasn't that hot. She laughed at me and said she could take it up to 20 if I wanted, but warned me that the "off-menu" levels were exponential. I laughed and said bring it on. She brought me a plate, I took a bite and I kid you not, I broke into a cold sweat and Chrissy was about ready to take me to the hospital when I finally came to. She said my face was red. I felt my heart beating in my chest. It was crazy.

Owner comes out and was laughing her hind end off...well, she did tell me so :D

I haven't drank alcohol in many years, but I had a similar experience once, with a Bloody Mary. After a day of fishing, my buddy wanted to stop at a place where he claimed they made the world's best Bloody Marys, and would make them as hot as you wanted. Not being one to shy away from a challenge, I ordered one, and said "make it as hot as you can". I took one sip, and literally couldn't breathe. I nearly fell off the stool. I quickly grabbed a glass of water, took a sip, and the water was squirting out of my nose. My shirt was covered in snot, and I couldn't speak for a couple minutes. Same thing, the bartender and my fishing buddy were in hysterics.

I was listening to the paranormal 911 calls !
Those are creepy! I was listening to the search and rescue ones last night. Really freaked me out. I used to work alongside the USFS when I lived in Vermont and went on a search and rescue one time. I've also spent a few seasons just out in the woods of VT and NY, working and sleeping in the woods. Reaaaally creeped me out just thinking about that stuff!

Wow, it's amazing how it can hit you when it's that hot eh? That's wild. At least now I know my reaction wasn't unheard of. I wasn't sure if I was a total wimp or not. All I know is I take small bites now if I suspect something will be ridiculously hot.

HRH likes a lot of very hot and spicy foods. We once bought the Atomic chicken wings and she was chomping thru those without a care in the world. I used to eat the hottest curries back in the UK, so figured i'd have np.

I managed 2 wings before i had to down a pint of water and the sweat was pouring out of my old bald head! She just carried on eating and laughing. She can make a curry that'll let you see thru time, but i have to tell her to cool it down for me.

A similar thing happened one other time, in another bar (I used to hang out in a lot of them). But this time, it wasn't me. A bunch of us were sitting there, after work, having a few beers. It was one of those 'construction worker' type places. A little old Italian guy, who was apparently one of the regulars, came through the door with a big jar of hot peppers under his arm. One big oil' guy sitting there said "Hey, let me try one of those things." The little Italian guy said "You be careful. These are very hot", in his heavy accent. The guy said "Aww sh.., I ain't seen a pepper yet I couldn't eat." Same thing. Hilarity ensued, as we watched the big guy, flailing around, flapping his arms, gasping for air, watching his face turn all the colors of the south end of a baboon headed north.

One of my friends used to work on a market stall at the weekend and he was a bit of a hippy and into all the West Indian food. So his stall sold a lot of peppers and he'd delight in eating even the hottest of them.
Only one day he had chopped one up and was showing off as usual but he'd got some of the juice on his hands.

Then he went to take a pee.....

He could dance!

Yep. Whenever a friend is experiencing intense pain or discomfort, there are two rules to follow, in order:
-Make sure he isn't in real need of medical attention. If not...
-Laugh hysterically.

Hi guys! I'm so late to the party it's unbelievable, just realized the Reo's area is closed, and so much has changed. Most of you probably won't remember me haha. Today is a sad post. Had to share it somewhere.

Some time in the summer of 2011 (yes 2011) I was a new Vaper with a cig style just learning about Ecf. Some how I ended up finding the classifieds and at the time there was a Canada section where I found a post for an odd little wood box. I didn't even know enough about vaping to understand what I was buying but I bought it anyways.

This started a love affair with Reo's and at one point I had a pretty serious collection.

After a while I started getting over my addiction of mod collecting and scaled back to the point where I was back with only one again, my original love.

Today the magic finally ended. It's with rage and sadness and embarrassment that I show you this....

All I have to remember my OG classic reo now is this. I'm so upset it's like losing a pet.

Oooh... Owwww... Ohhh.... (crap...)

I would seriously place a 911 call to Rob. (If you don't have his phone number it's on his web site.) If you have all the parts nothing is impossible. Maybe.

I liked your post as support only. Don't take it the wrong way.

Can't like your post, just too sad. It was a beauty, but at least you have a memento of it, and fond memories. Time will ease the pain. My sincere condolences. :(
Hopefully you can get another to replace it.

I'm so sorry. At a loss for words. If that happened to my Woodvil I can only imagine how devastated I would feel.

There is a chance Rob could fix it believe it or not, so it's worth reaching out, for sure. Never underestimate Porky Power.
