I do about 7 to 8 wraps with 28 guage! That is all I have ever learned to do! I use the same coils in my old protank coils! I guess I am Not very adventurous! I am just amazed I have made it this far!

Chili...my take is that if you get the throat hit and flavor that suits you then why change it? I,too, use the single coil RM2 only and have for years as it suits my vaping tastes/needs very well. That's just one of the many beauties of vaping...."to each his own"....:)

Probably not - these would need more airflow...
And a lot of folks buy them, or the wire-wrapped wire, premade.

They are VERY popular, but me personally - I'd only wanna use them in a regulated device, so I could bump up the power and try to overcome the initial heat-up time from having all that metal.

Wow! Just wow! With my old eyes I do good to wrap 7 times! So are these used on a RM2?

It's not really that much metal, because the outer wrap doesn't count and there are guys wrapping 40g wire on the outside - which is like spider silk to me.

i use them all the time and my adv's are single battery deals. i suppose i don't vape as much as i used to. Twisted wire is another way to get the same deal, but the reason Clapton coils are tasty is because they hold so much juice alone, independent of the wick.

Twisted wire and MM coils that twist ribbon wire are variations on a theme.

That's cute and fun! Wish I had garden space. We have a tiny lot and the pool takes up most of the back, the remainder is shaded by the travelers palms and rubber tree. I tried growing Jerusalem artichokes back there but not enough sun, and I have grown okra, sorrel and cucumbers in the side yard...lots of flowers but few good veggies.

In GA we used to use cannons to keep the squirrels out of the pecan trees. It would scare the bejesus out of ya if you were walking along in the woods and one of those went off unexpectedly. They tried them downtown in Orlando to keep the cormorants from pooping on the cars parked at Lake Eola Park...but they violated the noise ordinance, so poop won.

If you have a shotgun there's no need for a scarecrow.

we have them here at the airport used to use them on the farm they work pretty well. I just remembered I have a scarecrow sprinkler I usually use it at the end of the driveway to keep salespeople and religious zealots away

I'm so behind folks. Been focused on work and school since January. Finally graduated last week! Yay! I know this has probably been asked a million times, but why did Rob close the Forum? Is there any chance he will re-open? I hope so because it's apart of my (our) lives? Glad to see some old faces and friends. My Reo's (Han and Chewie) are still going strong. :) Hope everyone is doing well.

Is "Rayonati Sloth" Tim? If so, good to see you bro. It's been awhile. :D

Nice to see another familiar face! (Well we really can't see your face but you know what I mean.)

Rob cited several reasons in his decision to close up the forum. ~> Closing the forum

He did cite wanting more time to pursue other interests in context of how much of his life he has dedicated to just Reos Mods over the last years.

And as you all know having to check in to a forum to keep us all herded together and not running amok (too much) and respond when needed (you Chatty Kathy's youse) was probably a lot of work.

He had some business concerns he hinted at too. The 2015 run of Woodvil's didn't move as quickly as previous production runs. (There are still some available.) The resin mods thing just didn't pan out. (Not that we didn't want them but he wasn't gonna sell a mod that melted.) And the new 14500 mini's didn't move too hot. (I couldn't find much promotion for them either so...) Add it all up: He makes mention in that forum closing thread about needing to do staff cutbacks.

At the same time he is still with us as he said and he is still making metal Reos and supporting everything. Could be a long time coming before more Woodvil's show up - that was a very labor intensive thing for Rob. So if he wants more time to pursue his gee-tar work that's off the table.

It does make me wonder though: I believe he thought interest in a Reo was slowing. He closed his forum... less than 60 days before the deeming regulations popped up - and I think we have been keeping him busier than ever with orders since. And he keeps filling them. :)
