Your father has heart trouble and the doctors have put him on so and so medication, but he's weak and so i have to look after him and make sure that when he's breathless i take him inside.

Yes Yes, fascinating - but how's the hound?

Looking good - splendid.

Tie the dog to my father and let hell break loose. i'll take care of it and chickens and Dennis.

Great pooch stories Rule and Para. All of ours have always been rescues/adoptions. Didn't know there was any other kind . I walked dogs for our shelter for a decade, so we always got the "pick of the litter." (Hahaha). We tend to gravitate towards the old ones. So much easier really as they are already set in their ways and you know what you are getting.
We did regress a couple years back when we adopted a year old mini Aussie. (Rough first year). Wow, what a handful but slowly he is getting socialized (and luckily older!). Luckily our old Pitty and Toy Poodle are helping with his schooling in addition to lots of classes and exercise.
Sorry, I tried to upload a photo of this year's Xmas card but I guess it's "too large." Been getting that message quite a bit lately when I try and post pictures. Anyone else?

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
I'm sure Justice/Darrell will have something to say about dog training especially since he has raised a son in the presence of dogs that some consider dangerous.

i have no pets as i lack any empathy towards even people and am unsuitable.

Cats like me for that reason.

Well let me tell you dogs are easy the kid on the other hand. Just yesterday he decided to poke the wolf with a long foam covered squirt gun thing he has. The dog took a healthy chunk out of the gun and the kids eyes were real big when I suggested it could have been his leg instead. Doubt that will happen again. The pitbull isn't an issue the kid could kick her in the .... and she's still love him. She's probably the most even tempered dog I've ever seen.

I've been vaping for 5 years, and using mechanicals for nearly the entire time. I use REOs exclusively now, but I have a shelf full of retired mech tubes, RDAs, and genisis RBAs.
I don't recall this stuff ever being an issue, other than reading about an occasional Ego failure, due to improper charging.
It seems to have only become an issue in the last couple years, with the advent of cloud comps/chasing, rewrapped batteries, which are being falsely rated above manufacturer specs, and super low building.
Tube mod comp class, with the limit set at .1 ohm or above? Seriously!? There is no 18650 battery on the planet that will safely handle a .1 ohm build. That's 42 amps, on full charge. C'mon, people. I don't care how many holes you drill in your mod, or where you drill them. It's still not safe.
Whatever happened to building attys with sufficient headroom below the battery CDR?
Sorry for the rant.

Sorry, wrong thread, actually.
It was meant to be a rant in General Discussion about somebody blowing up a tube mod at a cloud comp.

Thanks, every once in a while I need to be reminded about battery safety, no I don't vape anywhere near a .1 build, but I have been creeping slowly down toward...if we are not educated about vaping how can we possibly teach others.

Actually from what I've read, most cloud comps were changed to .4Ω and above builds and mechanical devices only, because of the idiots that thought because a battery said 40amp on it should handle up to 60amps.... Whomever is putting on the competition checks everyones equipment prior to the event. If they don't pass it, you can't compete and the device that failed needs to leave the building asap, as it was put...

I dunno. It's just annoying. It seems like we didn't have people blowing holes in their faces and hands, or burning their houses down, when vaping was a leisurely alternative to smoking, instead of a competitive sport.

Thanks Rule. I get concerned that the "accidents" give more fuel to the anti-vaping movement which affects us all (cloud chasers to tootle puffers). If you reached just one vaper who was considering the way-down-low option, it is worth it.

Seems to me people will always find a way of blowing themselves up, but where we can perhaps agree is that if you do vape very low coils (and i certainly do) it's not just helpful but imperative that the batteries you use are safe for the use to which you intend to put them.

In that respect, guys like Mooch and Baditude are owed a great debt by vapers everywhere for exposing the cynical labelling of, at best 20A batteries as 35A+ and yes i mean Efest.

Incidentally, most of my mods are bottom fed mechanicals, but they are not what i recommend new users begin by using, because you need to learn about battery, coil building and measuring, before you use such a device.
That is not elitism or snobbery, but a safety first approach that hopes to ensure the safety of people operating on the fringes of vaping. If you vape a 1Ω+ coil, none of this applies to you, because you are unlikely to ever stress a battery and if that's the vape you enjoy - splendid.

Now, that's a proper rant Rule!

Wow! I haven't checked in for a while and I hadn't checked the Reo website until now! I was amazed at the patina reos that are now up for sale! They are so unique and each one is one of a kind! Rob sure has surprised me!
oh wow, ya made me go look! Are the mini 1.0 and the 14500 the same thing or different?
