My rm2 sticks waaaaay up over the well of my Mini...like over 1/8" of brass showing.

you mean the 510 connection is showing that much or am I missing something?

yes, there is a huge gap from the top of the well to the bottom of the atty

has it always been this way? If not, perhaps your center pin got pushed down some. The mini doesn't have the adjustable 510 in it does it?

always was this way...old mini so not adjustable

hmmmm I know Rob said on those that he couldn't adjust it for all atties, but dunno if there are differences in RM2's or not. You could always have him put in the adjustable 510 if it bothers ya, and send the rm2 with it and he could probably make it fit flush. Or email and ask if he can

I don't understand. Is it just brass showing (the brass that would normally be down in the well), or is it an air gap below the atty?

oh I thought it was a gap between the atty bottom and the mod......did you have mini lp'd? If so you may have an sp rm2, that will show an area of brass that has been milled down

I don't think this was ever made clear.

The catch cup on a SP 14500 mini is not as deep as the catch cup on a SP Grand etc. Although you can buy the RM2 milled down that will fit into a SP Reo catch cup of any Reo just fine, it shows more of the milled down brass base on a 14500 mini because the catch cup isn't deep enough to take it all like the deeper catch cup on a SP Grand requires.

Unless I'm mistaken Rob never milled the RM2's specifically for the SP 14500 mini's so there would not be extra milled brass showing. Diameter - yes, but depth - no. I think you could get one if you really wanted it but as special request only - and then (at the time) if you did it couldn't fit down far enough into anything else.

Did you ever find a solution? Did you ever upload a pic?

I guess I'll find an o ring of some sort to hide it.
Pics...lol, not me - but I'll try to take it to work and get one taken there

Sure hope everyone has had a great day! I have been super lazy! So much so that I was going to build some new coils and have a maintenance day with my REOs but put a Nautilus mini on my Grand instead! First time to try this and was surprised it worked so well!
Blasphemy I know and I will fix it up for squonking later, but it is good to know that in a pinch a tank works well!
