Hey, I'm an ignorant logger. Explain that to me like I'd never built a coil, please?

Sloth's video, back on page #65 is about as good a video as you'll find, for building a Z coil in a 2 post atty. I build mine pretty much exactly the same way, except I prefer to wick with cotton, instead of rayon.

Can anyone tell me when Rob first brought out the Reo Grand, was it after 2007, should I be stocking up on parts and getting a new P67 or Grand.

Officially? (Perhaps technically.) May 26 2010 he went on-line and had them up for sale. ~> The REO Lounge (was...The REO grand opening sale)

But for the point you are getting at - nowhere near 2007.

It's entirely up to Rob as to what he decides. But I'm sure he could continue to sell "deluxe battery boxes with interchangeable flashlight heads" if he so chooses.

Maybe he would even price the battery box and the flashlight attachment separately; so you'd only have to buy the battery box.

I dunno. May have to pack that screw-on flashlight head in there so any "intentions" are not mistaken. That part wouldn't have to be that deluxe though. (Or even functional.)

I'm about to go wire up an LED and dropping resistor and mount it on an RM2. Boom! - "flashlight attachment" problem solved. :D

I will watch it. Since I'm on a satellite internet connection with a 10 GB limit, I will wait until the wee hours(2--8 AM) when I have unlimited internet. Thanks for the heads-up.:)

Thanks for the compliment man!

I get 80-100ml on my 24g coils before rewicking and never notice burnt juice. My coil building skillz rawk :headbang:

Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with the way I build too. But I never got into stuff like fused claptons, stapled coils, and the like. I've made Clapton wire before, but for me, it just isn't worth the effort.

i think basic Clapton wire is worth the effort. It's massively flavoursome, even on huge atties like mine.
Fused Claptons are starting to demand a lot of power to heat that metal - i find them really to be on the cutting edge of what i can do with one 18650, but they can be very smooth and also very slow to heat.

The rest - stapled and alien and all that imo needs serious regulated power and that's a lot of hassle to go to to make a coil.

Yeah - I don't even twist...simple is better IMHO :)

ETA I do mess with parallels sometimes.

i'm basically a cloud chaser, but i really appreciate flavour and i only use one or two atties anyway to get it.

if you haven't tried Clapton wire, then you are really missing something. i say that as flavour-chaser. It's easy to do - it's not like MM wire, which needs a degree in material science to make - wind this this way, reverse that the next time, wind this on the other way (wtf - what other way? space-time?)

really.

I'm not a chaser of anything other than the vape and simplicity I prefer... ;)

Clapton's a good guitarist but only so-so really...

Clapton was great, back in the day. But I agree; he's just so-so. Lots of guitarists have surpassed him.

First, 510-connection flashlight already in the cart, because TSA. Might as well get two, because FDA.
But as I've said before, I think we should stick to black and stainless even though Fasttech sells a couple colors, because, pretty colors you know - children like colors, and might want to also see your flashlight, and as everyone knows, flashlights are a gateway to guns.

Heck, I'd start with zero. VG is naturally "sweet" and you can easily add a little if you find your juice is lacking some "smooth/sweet" sensation afterwards.

What kind of a flavor are you making?

edit - if you're trying to make actual "Cotton Candy" flavor vape, I think people run usually in the range of 5% to 10%, when starting with an already-diluted liquid EM (which is like 10% EM crystals in PG). When used as an added sweetener in a recipe, usually around 1%.

A quick diy question..just getting into making my own vape. I'm curious how much ethol maltol to add to 500 ml of VG. I'm told a little is a lot..any info would b appreciated... Ty ty

When I was a child I was attracted to flashlights. Will this be a problem?
