And the battery is dead in my daughter's car.
And the lawn needs to be mowed and trimmed. The shrubs trimmed, garden watered, trees trimmed,....

and I just want to take an old man nap.

I share in your "pain" @PapawBrett. The honey do list is quite long today. I'm going to bang it out as quickly as I can and then I'm hanging the "off duty" sign, putting the feet up, and having a good long squonking session.

Played golf bright and early this morning. Teed off at 7:00AM. Now it's 90 out and humid, with thunder storms coming later. I'm done for the day.

i've been out and done MY shopping, so HRH can now have the car and do as she pleases. It's too hot to do much outside just now. so i'll mow the lawn(s) later when the sun goes down.

There's enough work making shelves etc to keep me occupied for some time, but best of all is that i have a well-equipped half-garage and i'm gradually moving all my tools in there so as to not make a mess inside. Apart from a BBQ on Monday, i can also get thru the to-do list pretty fast, especially with my new angle-grinder!

There are only 7 mods on my desk and the rest are still in boxes, so i need to remedy that.

There's no independence until the honey-do list has been addressed to her satisfaction!

The two cases of 16 oz amber glass bottles I ordered from the Glass Bottle Outlet. Their black polycone caps let in liquids during my cleaning process so I removed the plastic cones, broke several caps doing that and started over cleaning them. Their shipping and packing was good but I'm not impressed with the caps. Polycone is supposed to seal on top of the cone and seal across the diameter of the cap. These appear to fail at both places. wow, good to know. Hate that though. sorry to hear of your injuries. I also put my nic into ziplock bags after I do the tin foil and bubble wrap. Actually was able to save about a 1/2 liter with much filtering when my son broke a liter.

Do I really need to move the nic into glass bottles instead of just leaving it in the plastic? Does the plastic degrade with time?

glad you got the glass bottles. According to Kurt Kistler and another chemist, the plastic will let air in which oxidizes the nic, and the nic will leech stuff outta the plastic.

After smoking for 30 years i'm hardly worried about a bit of stuff leeching from plastic!

Even if you take the most pessimistic assumption that nicotine concentration diminishes by 1% a year in a dark cupboard - in 10 years' time, i'm sure you can still mix it close enough to ensure you get enough, using your (now) 90% nic solution.

i just don't think it's necessary to have a degree in chemistry and Frankenstein's lab in a room some place in order to keep vaping when the stupidity of the FDA reaches fever pitch.

I ordered the 2 oz pack of 36 from Premium Vials on Amazon because they included the caps and shipping. I have used Premium Vials @ Amazon as well and they get stuff shipped fast and the quality seems quite good.

As far as the pricing goes.... You can make yourself crazy shaving a couple bucks off a glass order. Some places are "Wow! Those are really inexpensive!" - Until you get to the shipping calculator and shipping costs more than the bottles themselves. (Some times in the range of double the cost of the glass.) You always have to factor in shipping costs when pricing out glass.

Do comparison shop glass - but it can make your head spin after a while.

The plastic doesn't degrade as such. The problem with even the best plastics is they are gas permeable and over time oxygen gets in there - and oxygen is one of your big enemies when it comes to nic degrading.

Ever wonder why you can't store liters of soda that are sold in plastic bottles, or else it goes flat and tastes like crap within a year? Think of that as an analogy. You never opened it and it still goes flat over time.

Also, my fridge is small. Could I, alternatively, just store in bottles in a cool, dark place such as a basement?

Of course you can, but you won't get long term storage quality doing that. The point of sticking it in the freezer is it slows down molecular interaction, which slows down any degradation to a crawl.

I just bought a mini freezer for the nic storage. Which, at current regional cigarette prices, was the equivalent of less than two cartons of cigarettes.

I gots mine at Target on-line. (You won't find then in stores.) It's a Haier HUM013EA 1.3 cubic foot that opens from the front. Just to give you an idea what one that small looks like: Haier HUM013EA 1-2/7 Cu.Ft. Small Upright Freezer Review

Space is at a premium here so I needed a small one, and the front door means you can stick it places you can't put a top door freezer.

That specific model has been discontinued but there are other's. Next up in the current Haier line is 1.7 cubic feet with a front door.

Also, if you get one through Target and just happen to have one of those "red cards" that will get you your usual 5% discount. And free shipping to your door is always a good thing.

I have always bought my bottles from specialty bottle, I just went ahead and placed another order today. I really needed to order more than what I just ordered, got about half of them. I got some more of the blue European dropper bottles for my Nic, and some of the 30ML clear Boston rounds, some of those I want to put some of my flavors in that came in plastic bottles, and the rest will be for recipes.

I got my box of bottles from GBO but haven't ordered my nic yet! Now I am worried about the caps! Did you get them to work finally or should I maybe order caps somewhere else?

I'm surprised one of the nic suppliers hasn't come out with an "Apocalypse Sale". Ya know, they fill and add on the cost of the Boston brown bottles and sell the nic at a fair price and folks like us would beat a path to their door or so it seems to me. Maybe they have and I just haven't seen it.

From what I have read the FDA is not (at the moment) going after the Nic suppliers, so for them it is business as usual, but I think that MFS is going to have a sale this weekend, they had one last month at 20% off, and I jumped on that one. I don't need any more now.

It's amazing how many purchases I've been able to rationalize when I do the math comparison based on what a carton cost! ($71.00 and some change here locally) ...and TOTALLY guilt free.

I don't think we are going to see much. Nic suppliers are pretty much treading water trying to keep up with demand, they don't need to put out incentives at this point.

The only thing MFS as done so far this weekend is a 24 hour flash sale on a few bits & bobs. No nic. ~> Deals and Steals

RTS vapes has put out a 15% discount code, listed right after that MFS post. Other than that one I haven't seen any other nic discounts posted.
