The airhole is on the opposite side in this picture. Why not point toward the fire button?

from what folks have said, you don't get as much airflow, and since that is where your coil is, any juice left in the atty after you've squonked will run toward your coil. I'm not exactly sure of all the why's, but I've always heard it's best to not be pointing the coils in the direction you're tilting the mod when you fire.

This is true Deb... The reason for this is so you don't drain any excess liquid out the airhole as you are vaping it as well as to keep it from popping and spitting hot liquid out the airhole and burn your chin... The airhole should be turned in a direction away from you when you are vaping it. Whether that be directly away or to the sides.

duhhh should have thought about the juice leaking out. lol Didn't think that would be a big deal with the rm2, but it sure would be with my derringers. I do duals, so always keep em to the sides.

Ok, that makes total sense. I knew about keeping the airhole pointed away from me. No one likes dribbles of juice down their chin! I got a bf Magma in the mail today. I was on my way out of town & stopped at the PO on the way & had vapemail! Whoop!

I had a 2015 Woodville with an Atomic a year ago that I decided to let go because I kept dropping it in my lap or on the bed. I was a little fumbly trying to squonk it because my hands are messed up. That's also why I need atty's that screw together. I was just afraid I would drop it & ruin it. It was just too beautiful to take the risk. I won't be so worried about a Grand tho. I'll put a build on it tomorrow & post pics! I made a SS coil today, first time I've used SS. So far I like it. It's a smoother, tastier vape. Gotta see what it's like on a Reo!

True usually Scott, but in an RM2 you'd have to be obstructing the drain hole with wick to keep the juice in there rather than returning to the bottle.

I've never managed to make an RM2 leak unless the deck is overpacked. So the ideal is short wicks that soak up enough juice for a couple of puffs and regular squonks.

i only run coils at about 0.3Ω, on anything. But on Reos the firing pins need to be kept clean else that arcing will lead to pitting of your batteries and damage to your firing pin and so on.

The gold firing pins benefit from an alcohol clean (don't we all?) and an application of your favourite ointment: Deoxit, Noalox, No-Oxid, etc etc.

My preference is for No-Oxid - because it's like earwax in a tube, ecologically friendly and sticks to that firing pin like Grandma at a Xmas conga. That's what i use on all my mech mods. Pick one you like - De oxit is like a very thin oil and i don't think it lasts.

Noalox IS granny at a Xmas conga - grey and messy but YMMV as they say.

Running.3 on woodvils and p67s is fine, right? I see a little sparking at the firing pin but i think thats no real problem yeah?

I run .3 to .35 ss in my P67s and Woodvils. Every couple fills, I fold a piece of cloth adhesive tape, wetted with alcohol, and run it between the firing pin and the strike plate. Then put a dab of Deoxit Gold in there. No sparking.

well.......what ST said. lol I use deoxit gold have never tried the NOoxID or whatever he said was like ear wax

Oh! Do I need noalox for a Grand?
Not noalox, it's a mess......horrible stuff. It wouldn't hurt to get some deoxit gold. You can get a 2ml tube on amazon that will last you a long time........but honestly at the ohms you're vaping at, you probably won't need it, or if you do, you won't need much of it. I rarely had arcing when I was vaping at 1.3 ohms, but I did a few times. So was glad I had it
