I don't have any consoles or a TV anymore, but I used to love playing Call of Duty - specifically the nazi zombies. I could blast zombies all day long still to this day. Problem is my internet sucks so it isnt worth it anymore.

I think my Son in Law probably plays that. So far, I'm not into the shootimup games. I like the wandering around exploring stuff, and sports games. I used to like Deer Hunter, when I used to play it on a computer, several years ago.

I grew up loving RPGs. To this day, the Final Fantasy series holds a special place in my heart. In college I was all about the shooters. If I were able to play now, I would probably play both. Games have come a long way. They are really remarkable.

I would probably get a console and play some modern RPGs, but ms sloth would kill me :(

Pardon my woeful ignorance about this stuff, but what is RPG?

(((HUGS)))

Another question for you - Have you always been with Charter? Or were you with TWC or BHN before Charter Spectrum bought out them? I know TWC and BHN did charge for modem rentals. If you were you probably need to contact Spectrum to switch over to a Spectrum plan. Or maybe wait until the dust settles down with the buyouts.

I moved here a little over a year ago and Charter is the only cable service in this neck of the woods:)

That kind of stuff drives me nuts. It sends me through the roof. I have to get Mrs Rule to do that stuff. I can do most anything around the house, as far as repairs, remodeling, building things, etc.; but when it comes to tech stuff, I'm lost.
She even had to set up my Xbox for me, that I got for Christmas. I connected all the cords. But she had to do the set up.

Lol...that sounds like me...I guess we're missing the tech-chip in our brains.

So you have been with Charter along. So you probably are not being charged for your modem if you rent it from them.

TASTY.
DIdn't get the build right first time, but now, this is vaping just lovely. Thick juicey vapor, with some substantial (lightly restricted) airflow. NOISY as heck, but you can't have everything (well...I can keep buying stuff, I guess...but mostly, it's just for fun now). Thatza "GP Dripper" up top.

Lol...that sounds like me...I guess we're missing the tech-chip in our brains.

I can do the stuff, if I put my mind to it. I just get frustrated when there are extra steps involved.
For example: The Xbox one S comes with no set up instructions, other than a card with a picture of the back of the console and the cord connections. That was easy enough. But to look for the actual set up, I had to search it out online. First thing I found was that I had to create a Microsoft account. I didn't have one. I almost never use my Windows laptop. I do everything on either my iPad or my phone. Then I found that I had to create an Outlook email account. I didn't have one of those either. Of course, both of these things required a new password, and maybe a 'secret' security question. I don't remember. By this time, I was foaming at the mouth, sweating, smoke coming out of my ears; and Mrs Rule had to take over, after noticing that I was beginning to turn homicidal.
So, now I play Madden Football. The frustrating part now is that my quarterback, Jameis Winston (Bucs), seems to complete more passes to the other team than he does to his own receivers.

I'm jealous of all you who can get cable. Charter won't come down our road; not enough residences and our driveways are over 100 yards. No natural gas either. I have directv and hotspot internet off my iphone with 15G a month, neither is cheap. Sling TV looks appealing but would need unlimited internet.

I am with you. Here in rural Kentucky, I use propane and have DirectTV. The utilities won't come this far out for twelve customers. I have an unlimited 6MPS DSL through the phone and I am giving Sling a test run, so far the 6 seems fast enough.

Hello Reonauts. Been an interesting week. Started with morning temps in the teens, finished the week with afternoon temps pushing the 70"s. Welcome to the Carolinas.
Friday was "Poke and Prod" Day for me. Started with the company Health Fair (i.e. Insurance Inquisition), followed by a trip to the Urgent Care (i.e. clinic) for my D.O.T. exam. I passed, so the Gub'mint will allow me to keep driving (and paying taxes) for two more years. I will soon be told that my cholesterol is high (when the blood work come back), but when you are raised on fried foods and shellfish that is to be expected.
Not much desire for new vaping stuff. My Grand/ RM2 combos walk out the door with me, and my VV Grand/ Chalice III combos are for relaxing at home. I guess I have found my comfort zone.
TWC for Road Runner, DirectTV (plus NFL Sunday Ticket), and Verizon unlimited nationwide plan means I spend way too much for tech stuff. Welcome to the information (at a price) age.
Arthritis had robbed me of the joy of gaming, but I have played all of the Final Fantasy series up to and including FFXIII. FFVII was the best, it broke new ground and launched the entire genre. My PS3 is now nothing more than a Blu-Ray player, but it does well with that.
Always seems like i'm gone too long, but enjoy returning to the new lounge.
Thanks to Rule and Paul for participating in my newest attempt at an intelligent thread, "Recipes for Dummies". Don't worry, like a lot of my threads it will be short-lived, but if a newcomer finds some help it will be worth it.

I hope everyone is well. Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

Morning everyone... Gloomy Saturday morning here. Six days in and going strong. Sold off the last of my gear and the last Reo yesterday. I think it lasted all of about 15 minutes on FB and it was gone. So that part of the temptation, (if there was one), is gone... All I have left is a pretty empty vape box with some tools in it. I kept those cause, well you can't sell tools. They come in handy somewhere down the line. Anyway I've just been kinda lurking these last couple days and will try to be a little more hands on. I do still have some knowledge to share, I guess... Hope everyone has a great rest of their weekend...

@PapawBrett good to hear your good to go for another couple years..
