I have a couple Pdib Li'l Pinches, and I love them. But you truly have to be careful with them. There's no hot spring, and no button lock. They never go in a pocket, and rarely leave the house. The only two places they ever are are either in hand, or standing up on a table.

I've only got one of Pdib Li'l Pinches, you lucky dog, but I treat it the same way. It's special.

I never understood spending that much money for a device that you never take out of the house. Thats just a waste of money to imo!! The reason I vaped a Reo was because it could take just about any abuse I could see fit to throw at it and still just pick it up and vape it... There have been several people in the past couple years that have dropped Dibi's and other expensive devices on the kitchen, garage, or even some living room floors and it was making an immediate trip to the spa... Not my idea of money well spent!!

Ahhh. I was going to give you a Picasso, but now realize you would want to abuse it.

I have plenty of Reos when I feel the need to go outdoors, & a few Woodvils that stay close to the Pinch.

On the road. Yeah - rough schedule, leaving home 5:00 AM Sunday this week.

Just last night, I thought "gee, I really want to bring along another mod this time. Had to figure out a way to make a different bottle type flight-proof, but that worked out OK.

And a good thing, too - because MY REO BROKE.
So thank goodness - I had something else to vape for 20 minutes while I figured out, in the hotel room, how to get the road Reo running.
We're jury-rigged, but needs a part.

$2.00, but I'm pretty sure I have some at home.

In case tongue-in-cheek wasn't clear: My Reo Grand has has been used EVERY DAY for 3 years, been dropped at least 50 times, probably has more air miles than you, and the worst repair issue I've had boiled down to wearing out the top bit of a squonk tube.
:D

New regs HAVE put pressure on vendors to have a "verification" process. There are a few routes they can take to abide by the law - and one of them DOES include collecting an image of proof of age...

I'm confused I ordered from Indy vapor shop and you have to confirm your old enough by uploading a picture of a government issued ID? Strange to me... anyone confirm on this?

For me, it's probably a natural progression from my old pipe smoking days. I used to have some nice, and fairly expensive briars and meerschaums that never left the house either. I have my Pinches and Woodvils because I enjoy vaping them. I don't need to take them out to show them off or impress anyone else.

with the price of smokes now [i go to the store for mum], it'd cost me $65 a day to smoke

so spending $450 on a mod is very justifiable, but i take them everywhere [granted, i don't work as a mechanic or similar. beach is about the worst they get]

I have some mods that I baby, others that I end up (unintentionally) abusing. For me, it's like cars for some people, I suppose. Ferrari's were never meant to be every day drivers, Ford F150's are. Some folks have both.

Same here. The Grands and P67s go out and about. The Woodvils and Pinches stay at home.

I'm pretty careful with all my gear, whether it's a $150 REO or a $450 Pinch. I don't like dings or dents on either. But I'm not in a position where they have to be subjected to much abuse. I'm retired, but I spent my working career in construction. If I still was working, I'm sure I'd have a couple beater mods, just like I used to have beater pipes. About the only abuse my mods get these days is bouncing around in the cup holder of a golf cart. Even then, they are always in a soft can coozie.
