I've got one woodvil spring and one or two grand springs. Hmmmm might need to call Rob and see if he'll have parts, or if we need to get to getting. But he's planning to have p67s on the site all the time, so I imagine he'll have parts for a good while to come.
Let us know if you talk to him about the springs.
He was out of contacts for the Grand, but has restocked.
Was hoping to make a single order.

Has anyone bought the adjustable 510 and changed it themselves? I have one Reo left that has the old one it it. I don't know how busy Rob is these days.

I don't really know anything about it, except that whenever this has come up, most everyone says you need some kind of press to press it in there right. I think some have that and have done it, but most send it to Rob

I have the new 510 so I couldn't say. It looks like it is press fit, I'm not sure if any adhesive is used with it. You could maybe get away with using a vise very carefully with the proper precautions to prevent damage to your Reo and the actual part. These are just my first thoughts, I'd probably go over it 50 more times and comb out any potential issues before trying.

    Well that's an uh-oh...I don't have any stashed !

Several springs and a couple firing pins. I needed a spring after a careless Chalice III build but I have not needed a pin even though I use flat top batteries in a Grand. I have a couple of stainless "feed tubes" in case I get really careless, bottles and, as my final safety, net an unused Grand sitting in wait for a complete collapse of my current setup.

I want to get a spare grand myself for the same exact reason. My wife is on to me and monitors my vape spending  I don't want to answer why I need something I already have again. I'll have to get a p.o box soon and delete my browser history lol

i've never dropped a Reo spring because of a careless atty build; i'm far too paranoid about testing them for that to happen and i test them a minimum of 3 times and always with the cap on finally.

I wasn't sure if I should say this (because I don't want to jinx myself) but...
    Never dropped a spring. Ever.
But I forgot to turn the multimeter off and come back a week later to find a dead 9 volt battery in the meter.

    (more than once....)

I do the same as super and have never dropped a spring either. But I haven't had my Reo long enough to boast. Lol

Ah, what's better than a nigh indestructable mod? Why, two, of course.

Truth be told, the only thing you're getting with a complete second mod that you can't have with a few spare parts from Rob is the body (and delrin insert for grands/minis) - pins, springs, buttons, 510 connects, tubes, bottles, and screws can all be purchased from Rob's site.

Now, I can write that down with a straight face, but the collection of reos I have belies that logic. It took a fair amount of time (and some feedback from my wife) to acknowledge that I was more collector than pragmatist.

    But then...

Whenever i have bought a device for myself, i have bought one of similar value for HRH. Never been a problem err, except where to store them these days. No need for me to hide my web history ;)

i have Reo repair kits all packed in one drawer of a chest i have so many of them. My advice would be 'buy 2 spare springs and call it good'. Anything else you can butcher from stuff you have lying around if you really have to.

I would add to that list of what you are getting with the spare REO these two thoughts. Fisrst, you also have the new 510 already securely pressed into that second body in the event of a catastrophic occurrence. That is workmanship that I probably can't provide myself, try though I might. And, second, should your REO fall gently from your boat to the bottom of a lovely Kentucky lake, you have your spare and a well learned lesson in care.
