I'm going to wait. I'm not super comfortable doing this but will if it needs to be done. Until I hear something more official I'm going to use it as is. I don't know why he's asking joyetech instead of evolv. I told him I was using the dna 200 version.

I also put in a ticket to evolv. As I said, I received mine today from vapenw.com. Out of the box it has a tiny chip in the paint. I'm not too happy about that. I'm thinking of contacting vapenw and requesting a replacement.

Evolv didn't manufacture your mod. Why would they warrenty stripped screws, bad routing of ribbon cables and paint chips?

Dear Hamlet, leave it be. Let's wait for news to develop (more reports) before prying open your brand new mod.

I agree, I have 2 that I have used for 2 weeks. Everything seems fine. Ultimately Wisemec would probably say something if pressured.

At most contact the store you bought it from and ask just in case questions.

You're right. I sent an email to wismec. But maybe if I get a response from evolv, they can tell me something useful about the placing of the ribbon and whether or not it should be folded back under the board. I emailed the vendor about the chip in the paint, I know evolv has nothing to do with that.

i should note that my particular relo ribbon cable was about a 1/4 of the way under the entire diameter of the fire button. it was not under it far enough to be pinched between the on board button and actuator. and barely moved the ribbon when pressing the button. however with a good firm press it did push down and flex the ribbon. i did it just make sure and i'm the type o person that if i know something might or could go wrong, albeit a very small chance, it'll eat away at me.

Same here. I saw my ribbon move during button presses but I don't think it was actually caught between the button and actuator. Still grounds for a simple repositioning.

Agreed! As much as I push that button, the friction/rubbing would more than likely become an issue down the road. I "feel" better knowing the button is no longer rubbing on the ribbon.

I sold all 3 of my Wisemec's. I just couldn't deal wtih the battery wraps ripping every time you take the batteries out :nah: Stupid OCD.
I just rewrapped my blue R25s because they ripped if I gave them a harsh look.
My Boxer Mods were shredding them until I tweaked the contacts.

I have two RX200s on the way and will get some dedicated batts for them.
Which batteries were your Rolo ripping?

Does anyone know if the RX200 version has compatible parts? Can you swap RX200/DNA200 boards between the two? Can you add the screen cover from the RX200 to the DNA200 version? Thanks.
Some work needs to be done. The screen area of the rx200 is smaller, so some dremeling needs to be done. The buttons need a little work and so does the battery sled. It's not a simple swap in and out.
Once the screen area is dremeled out to the right size, the cover will not stick to anything. The aluminum it was stuck to is removed.
