Oh come on ECF, is selling something for the same retail price that I bought it for in California, really ripping somebody off? Really? Give me a break. I am not out to make any money. Just selling for what I paid for it.

I can assure you that no one here is saying that you can't rip people off. You just can't do it here. If someones goal is to completely screw someone, they are more than welcome to on another forum.

I’ve said that I believe in Free Markets. That the “Invisible Hand” that Adam Smith eluded to should set Pricing and not some 3rd Party. I have also said that I understand the ECF has a Rule about how much Profit a Person is Allowed to make on a sale. And I’m OK with that because I am Free to Sell an Item elsewhere.

So there Isn’t much more for me to say.

Except that there is a Fine Line between what One person may consider to be a Rip-Off. And what another considers to be Honest Profit gained in a Free Market.

The Value of an Item is should ALWAYS be determined by the Buyer in a Free Market. And just like a Seller should be Free to set Any Price they want, Buyers are Always Free to Not buy an Item if the Cost Exceeds the Value to them.

once again, i cant believe anyone on here would be trying to make a profit. it kind of sickens me

I agree. This forum helps people with information. It's not a market place for people to get rich. Used is USED, not new, not better, not worth more because it's pre-owned. I cringe every time I see someone trying to get what they paid for something or more than they paid. If they bought it used to start with and the price is below retail, see if someone will pay you enough to cover your cost.

There are enough vendors selling for high retail, we don't need the members screwing each other. Like it was stated, if the rules aren't to your liking, go sell it somewhere else. I like the rules.

I had a classified taken down due to what ECF calls profiteering. You need to do your homework on retail prices in the US and not just go by the euro price. I posted a poldiac for sale for $285 with a 350 brass pant. These sell retail for $235 here in California and you pulled it because it sells for 150 euros out of the country. We can't even make our money back for the price ECF wants us to sell it for. So unfair if you ask me.
Please do your homework on US retail pricing before you pull posts.

I don't see that you are a supporting member of this site. As such, you do not own it, not even a small part of it. Since it's free, you abide by our mods rules. Sell it on craigslist, otherwise, shut your yap!
