Plating is EXACTLY what I intend on doing being we are in the bullion business and have an on staff jeweler .. He had a heart attack and had bypass surgery 2 weeks ago .. I think he will be somewhat recovered by the time I get my GG. Might have him practice on my SD first ..
I like the sound of all this...
Our GG's ARE most certainly going to end up like pieces of fine jewellery.

We need to buy another GG that we can use as the LOAN GG... and that one could be sent out to be used by those who find it impossible to hand their beloved over for a refit....

Africa is my home from home - spent quite a few years there - it always stays in your heart....
If you like desert, you should go to Namibia - I spent 7 months out there studying desert baboons - the best time of my life!
But it definitely made me appreciate how much water we have in this country - our water was from a borehole as most the rivers have dried up but that didn't deter in any way from the mesmerizing beauty and tranquility of the place.... no phones, tv or mod cons - in fact I even gave up smoking for 5 weeks while I was there!

My parents still live there so if you want to visit them and have some where to stay, I'm sure it can be arranged...
