Chances are you'll get the batteries much sooner than the Shockwave. Of course you can partially charge the batteries, but it is advisable to fully discharge and fully charge the batteries at least three times when you receive them. After that you may partially charge them. Anyway, the worst that could happen is that you'll decrease the number of charging cycles, but I don't think there are any big risks involved. In the end it's not really that important because you'll have plenty of time to charge your batteries before the Shockwave arrives.

I was told by battery experts that for these type of batteries fully discharging is not advised.

Quick question since th Shockwave could be here in no time. I ordered two batteries and that special big battery charger with it, can I pop one of the batteries in just for a bit and try the SW out or will that ruin the battery. Just thinking of finally holding the SW in my hands and having to wait for the batteries to fully charge (I think it's one at a time) will overload my patience.

it should be fine, if you had a voltmeter it wouldn't hurt to make sure it's still over 3.6volts though

Thanks, well I will have to wait. I think Dave is shipping everything together since I ordered the batteries, charger and Shockwave at the same time. Never dealt with such huge batteries and if it will just hurt the cycles I don't care, just don't want any battery problems (I have been lucky in the past, melting springs and batteries, but they were only 18350's). Thanks

What are you guys n gals planning on using with your ShockWaves, 'miser wise...?

First thing out of the chute I'm going to put a 26500 & a Kick in it, with a 2.5 ohm HH.357 that I bought specifically for it way back when. It's still brand new as is the Kick.
Since the HH.357 will probably go down in flames within a week, then I'll reevaluate.

I have a couple of Brit built Gennies here... really looking forward to that big battery current and some top shelf vaping... :)

Ended up with a Kiklet to try, plus some 26500s & 26650s, so well prepared for this amazing piece of Super-T hardware to arrive... and very curious what many of you folks on that side of the pond will be pairing the SW up with... :)

They are both astonishing... If I were to choose just one, it would be the Mega on the grounds of having to top up less frequently, but they are very similar in character as you would expect... The Mini is a very exciting atomiser though, and there is that touch of extra warmth to the vapour of course, with it being so small...

Both produce immense amounts of vapour, although this is not rare with good Gennies... but it is the flavour that will blow you away - there is a richness and almost chewy character to the flavours and the vapour that I would say gives the Hellfires the edge over much of the competition... Certainly when compared to the other Genesis atomisers that I have tried myself...

The cult following these atomisers have comes as no surprise really, and I honestly can't imagine any other reaction when yours arrives other than you will be smitten with it immediately and your pursuit of a Mega will be doubled... :)

Snork the 3.0 ohm HH357s are the way to go... Draws less amps than the 2.5 ohms... Been using them on my Provari @ 5.5 volts = 10.08 watts. They wont burn up on you, I get a solid month of top performance out of the HH357s, as they age, they still work well but not like a fresh one..
I like to replace them every 5-6 weeks even though they last longer..

One thing that is immediately apparent is the small size of the wick holes... they are about 2.0mm and first seeing how small they are comes as a bit of a shock... Hard to imagine such a tiny wick hole could supply juice fast enough for these things... Best tip with the HF is to use a coarse mesh grade U wick (I use 200 grade mesh), and even that looks tiny and barely enough to do the job... But blimey, I don't know about the hows or the whys, but they do wick extraordinarily well, as you will see... :)

I will use my 5ml Cobra ( Maybe DID) on this as its my best working one for me as I'm thinking of dumping my ZAP and ZAU as the draw and flavour just insnt for me and the damn tops never seem to stay on!! I will see how the Pen looks on it but probably getting rid of those 2 as well!!
