I gave up on the Hydra, after snagging a Foggatti T22... Would still like one, but personally, I'm gonna prowl the classies for one, especially now there has been a big release of the Hydra... Just goes against the grain to pay those WU fees...

The daft thing is, if it was the maker getting that extra money, then I wouldn't object... but WU getting all that money for doing so little just seems wrong...

I hear what you're saying though emonty and can't blame anybody for using WU when it is the only option available... Just that I am a tight ...., lol... :D

I will use whatever I have leftover from my vape hoarding days, when the vapocalypse was on the horizon, so I should be set on regular, .357HH, 306 and eGo atomizers until I'm long past dead.

Or I'll get whatever is available that people are raving about. You never know with me.

I keep hearing good things about the HH atomiser... Never tried one yet, as the cost incl shipping to get one here is high... Seriously tempted though, all the same... and do love a bit of direct dripping, too...

They're great for liquids that aren't dark and dirty, or have too much VG. If any of the later, they can be spitty and man do the coils carbonize quickly. It ends up going from looking like a compressed bed spring with seriously thick coils to a rectangular brick of coal (under magnification). However they can be cleaned but it's not so easy. I still have all 4 of mine working but like said above if you start out at 3 ohms it'll go longest before the res drops too far and you have to clean or toss. At first I was ...... but now that I know these things I'll probably buy more some day, when I make a dent in said hoarding. Oh and go with long barrel unless you like a hot vape and spit juice in your mouth.

I haven't tried one myself yet, but one of my local pals swears by a cheapo sonic cleaner he picked up from eBay for around the equivalent of $12, for cleaning all sorts of vaping related gear, but especially atomisers... You probably already will have heard about this, but worth a mention, just in case... :)

I have my own method that involves a syringe and vinyl hose which attaches to the atty, then with .357s a phosphoric acid (diluted) soak and pull through, then you literally have to scrape off the carbon and maybe repeat 2 or 3 times, unless you're ok throwing it out after your resistance drops beyond usable. I'm not, for $20+ a pop. Oh, and follow with an isopropyl alcohol rinse and dry thoroughly. This will get all remnants out of anything. I should look into an ultrasonic to see if that would work better. Do you know can it handle a highly diluted distilled water and phosphoric acid mix in the cleaner? Cuz that might save all the scraping which is the worst bit.

I just remembered, maybe by the time Super T brings out his atty to end all atties, I might have made that dent in what I have so I won't need to mess with another RBA! woohoo

I bought an ultrasonic cleaner for my wife for Christmas. Obviously it will be a multi-purpose device. :D I'm pretty sure you can put whatever (within reason) cleaning agents in there.

Like you, I'm set for a long, long time. I love all kinds of atomizers all for their different characteristics; yesterday I vaped an i06, Mark-T, a 901 and a Penelope. The only ones I don't like are ones that I have to doink around with for any more than three minutes max.

David has alluded in these threads that those of us who haven't given up on standard atomizers might be in for a treat.
I believe him.

I can't say on the acid front siouxsie, but as I've understood it, it simply wouldn't need it...

Maybe not, but I'm telling you the amount of carbon that the .357 gathers has to be seen to be believed, but maybe it would loosen it up as well as an acid rinse, it's worth a shot anyway. I literally have to take a sharp syringe needle to scrape it off rinse, repeat repeat repeat very small dry burn repeat....lol
