Let's persuade David to make a Kick Sleeve, like the Stinger for our Shockwaves.

There is one bud...but you have to step down to 26500's to use it and it's coming free with the SW. Did you mean one for a 26650? I've heard he's not gonna do that, but he did make the Kiklet which is what I plan to use for the 26650s.

Lol, you too fast. I was adding detail to post.

Besides the ShockWave, a couple other good things have come out of this process. It brought together a certain group of people worldwide who know a good thing when they see it. I've been amazed and honored to be in the company of this bunch who somehow managed to behave for this long with dignity and humility.
I'm positive that of all involved, the wait bothered one guy immeasurably more than anybody else. So much so that he plunked down LARGE change to prevent it ever happening again.

I like to have extensions wherever possible (have them for silver bullets, for legacy, for custom bolt ) , allows for more versatility. At first there was a chance that David would make one, but it looks like it won't happen. That makes me a bit sad, as the 26500+kick is not much different than a good 18650+kick. Sure, there's a bit more amperage there, but capacity/battery life between recharge cycles is not gonna be noticeable for the better. It would shine with a 26650+kick, and would allow for a much better runtime.
Perhaps someday in the future Super-T will make a limited run of them.

AW IMR 26500 is actually 2300mah I got plenty of them and thats what it states at the wrapper. So saying 3000mah on IMR is probably a bit of Chinese way to mark mah:s....

Panasonic CGR18650CH - 2250mAh 10 amps.
Panasonic NCR18650PD - 2900mAh , 3C discharge = 10 amps for a good while.
AW IMR 26500 2300 mAh - no longer in production, but managed to get two pieces when i ordered the ShockWave. Can almost bet one of my woodies that it will outperform the 3000 "blue" 26500.
Several people i trust used the 26650 "blue" and it doesn't come close to the now out-of-production MNKE 26650 4000mah or KingKong INR26650E. Based on that, my hopes for the 26500 3000 are low.
Yes, i did look at the discharge graphs before posting anything. Yes, i do have plenty experience with a ton of batteries.
Nothing to do with SuperT , always bought batteries from the site and recommended it to others when they needed batteries, what we use for vaping purposes is influenced by other industries, like the laptop one for 18650s, and sometimes certain types and models of batteries either go out of production because the main application for them is no longer there, or they just don't get upgraded and further money spent on them.
Look at the last time the 14500 or 16340 were improved.

I dont all about that... The 26500 IMRs I listed are off the SuperT website... David usually test all his batteries for mAh rattings.... David can you chime in on this matter?

I though I remember the 3000 mah IMR actually testing out at 3000 mah.

But, I really think if you want to use the 26650 with a kick on the shockwave - the way to go is the kiklet. An extension sleeve would be redundant because a solution already exists. If the shockwave was a regular production model, I could see spending the time on another solution, but I think it's pretty doubtful since you'd really be looking at a small number of extension sleeves being produced. Not all shockwave owners would even be interested in it.

I've also never seen a super-t extension sleeve for any other products, and I can't help but think there's a reason for that. I know personally, I don't like extensions for aesthetic reasons.

The blue 26500 ones tested in the low 3000mah range. I won't be making an add on sleeve for the Shockwave, it would just become too long that way, it will just come with the drop in sleeve for use with a 26500 battery.

Update 01/25/13. We got the plated parts in, all but the plunger for the spring cup, which they say they couldn't "recover". We'll have to remachine these and have them replated again, they claim they'll expedite it. I am going to examine them and see if they are good if not we'll have to remachine and replate Rhodium plating can't be stripped off without affecting the base metal, so new parts will have to be made and replated. We are on it.

Hi David,

Please take a look at the picture attached. We have 17 out of the 120 parts that we are seeing circle patterns on. Please let me know if these are acceptable. Also, the 120 plungers did have bad adhesion and we are not able to recover them. The other orders are complete. Would you like for us to ship these UPS? "

Will you be able to remake these in-house? Or are we back to waiting on the other machine shop?

No, no waiting months for parts to be made anymore, we will remake these in house. Already working on it. The good news is the top posts did come in and i'll press those in and can wire the switches too them. Very close, very very close now.

Liked the post to show my appreciation for your endeavor to keep us in the loop. Not so happy with the news itself, especially since a part of your work will now go to waste and you'll have to do it over again. However, we're here and support you all the way. A lot of ground has already been covered and the amount that is left before the finish line will be as well, regardless of the obstacles. The fact that you were adventurous enough to start this project assures me of your dedication so I hope this will not make it wane

totally agree Mind...

sorry to hear of another snag...i lovet hat the info is posted so thoroughly...i think a lot of makers and sellers would do well to learn from this...

9+1/2 months is a long time to keep anyone waiting, but because of the honesty and up to date communication, we buyers do not fret and get upset.

SuperT = awesome

From inception to birth usually takes about that long :) Next time you see a pregnant woman, you can tell her that you know exactly what she is going through :)
