I redesigned the Kick insert sleeve a bit with a bit of indented ledge for more battery clearance (i don't want the sleeve to make contact with the battery positive thus causing a short and since we have a CNC now, i thought why the heck not, its only money...lol). Also, if you look in the video on the tool box, you'll see the little brass plunger, those are the plungers that the Rhodium platers couldn't get the Rhodium to take on. We just got the rest of the tooling in today for those and will be running those this evening and tomorrow and then we'll send them off to the platers.
Those CNC machines are amazing .... I was watching the whole time thinking "What could someone make out of all those metal curlies ..... ?"

I was thinking the same thing, I was also thinking how unsatisfied I would have been if the video cut off before the sleeve dropped in the part bin.There is something deeply gratifieing in looking a cnc do its job
It's good, I got silver. It's all aluminum and the threads all badly needed lubricating, but the sleeve that lets you use a kick or not without changing the height is the reason I got it. I should note that Super T's blue 26650s don't work in it natively as the button on top is too short, unless you use a spacer which is not ideal. A certain orange battery does work, and both work with the Kick installed. It's got nowhere near the quality the shockwave will have I'm sure but I needed to try out these batteries..
Good mornign Kami, I'm not sure i understand what you mean? The battery just inserts from the top, constant pressure is kept on it by the spring loaded plunger in the top cap. The plunger part is the part that the platers couldn't get good ahesion to of the Rhodium plating and rhodium plating can't be stripped without damaging the base metal, hence why we have to machine a new batch to be plated. The other two parts in the plunger assembly plated fine.

Yes, Blu is correct, my thought was the battery may seat itself into the "ledge" making the assembly a sweet secure kick housing
