I stuffed the o-ring pretty hard ... not gonna use it for a tank again, so I just smooshed the H*LL out of it.

Yeah me too I just did, with success! My batt is at 3.74V so if it goes to 3.6 or so w/o giving me agita then this will definitely be a success! Thanks Blu!

What I finally figured out that I had to do was hold one side of the o ring in place while stuffing the other side in and repeat that all the way around, that way it didn't pop off. Of course, you're women so that would have occurred to you without having to figure it out like me...LOL. cheers.

Yeah well I may be throwing the majority of my gender under the bus, I'm sure there are plenty guys handier than me that would've known that as well.

Now I have 1 kick that lives in a Kiklet permanently, one that lives in the Shockwave Kick sleeve, and one free agent that roams freely. Fortunately that one has a wire that sticks out farther to contact the side and doesn't have as many problems losing connection. Perfect! As long as I don't destroy any more by loading batteries up side down. Yes, I have done that. Twice. My brainlock gets expensive.

Siouxsie - if the battery gets to where it can't support the Kick/watts dialed in, it will "stutter".

That's when I figure it's time to change the batt anyway. :)
Seems that is the ONLY time mine misfires/funky-fires anymore.

Yeah I know that. It's not the issue, what happens before that for about .15 volts or so is it won't even do that, it just doesn't fire, and a crank of the on/off dial or a slight bang on the hand resets it and it's good.

Like I said, that's happening alot less now and you're right, it's really to the point of just switching out the batts because it's better for them anyway not to deplete them all the way or even to charge them all the way....more cycles vs. longer run time, that's the tradeoff.

Since I put in the fully charged battery, no misfires.

Pardon my intrusion, but that just sounds like dirty connections on the Kick. Have you ever sanded them down a little? I use a fine sandpaper on mine every now and again and they fire like a champ. Just an idea. :)

I clean the 3 Kick contacts using Cape Cod Polishing Cloth about every 5-7 days. 10 seconds to apply, 20 seconds to buff with a clean cloth. I don't know if the difference is made by the AW 26500, but i need to change the battery at 3.48-3.51v wich is damn impressive compared to usually 3.6 in other mods and with smaller batteries. On occasion i do have to "adjust/reset" but usually once per battery cycle and ~ the 3.6 mark or a bit under.
Lasts significantly longer than kick+18650 so i bearly notice that anyway.

I resemble that statement, but don't feel too bad, in low light situations it can be hard to tell which way to load a flat-top battery.
Brandon from Evolv, was awesome the first time I did it, he sent me a new kick no charge even though it was my fault.
