Anyone know where I can get the part for the locking switch that creates the ratcheting effect?

I don't have anymore of them, but here is the mcmaster part number so you can order some:

McMaster-Carr

Part # 3408A67

I ordered without the locking mechanism...that's correct right? Since it's going in aluminum?

That's correct, I just put a tiny, tiny amount of superglue on the thread, works as a Loctite.

I don't know if Sense is referring to the top cap switch or bottom power switch.
The bottom switch just comes out if you keep turning it counterclockwise. It goes back in clockwise starting with the ballcock (I invented a new word there) in one of the four notch positions, if the first one doesn't work move on to the next.

I have disassembled and reassembled my ShockWaves several times, though I haven't yet taken the plunger out. I need to do that sometime.

So, does anyone regularly use the Kick 2 in their Shockwave? I've never had a Kick or any other VW/VV device, but I'm toying with the idea of getting one. I've read all the standard pros/cons of VW/VV, but I'm specifically wondering what everyone's experiences are relative to the Shockwave.

Hi everybody...long time no see! :)

David,I have emailed you, dunno if you are busy or on vacation as I got an auto-response. But I need to have you replace the switch for me. I hadn't kept the button sufficiently lubed, apparently, so when I had a dual coil carto on there and the button stuck, the switch stuck and the wire casing melted really quickly. I'm going abroad soon so I'd love it if I could send it up to you in St. Cloud and have you fix it for whatever charge you deem necessary since it's really my fault for not lubing the switch often enough. Let me know, cuz I use this bad boy every day at home as my main vape and I really miss it!

Thanks David! ~Scott in MN

Hi there!
I hope he gets you fixed up and there's no other damage. Meantime, the "Mod Switch" listed on this page is the replacement for the ShockWave. I got a couple for peace of mind. Cheap.
Super T ~ Parts & kits

Hi snork,Yeah, cheap but I don't have the dexterity nor possibly the soldering skills. I watched your video and I'm still pretty certain I wouldn't be able to do it myself. I assume you do? I got the delrin out, the button out, the switch out and wire came out from under the post hex screw but I haven't taken either screw out or the wire out from under the top cap. Is there any soldering or complicated bits? I also don't have any wiring or any clue as to how the wiring goes so that's why I'd love to have David do it? Nice to see you snork!

The wires are pre-soldered to the switch and there's no other soldering involved, it would just be a matter of trapping the wires under the screws after trimming the wires to length. I haven't done it personally but it shouldn't be complicated at all. I'd send it though if there's time, get it handled by the experts and maybe a refinish too.
I think every owner should get a switch or two for dire circumstances in any case.

That's good to know. For some reason, I was thinking the wires also had to be soldered to the SW. The thought of trying to solder something to my SW is frightening. You know, there was a time (before I received my SW) that I thought I might actually sell/trade it. That was just dumb.
