Sahil, are you asking that in addition to your non-slotted one you'd like to know if it would be possible to purchase a slotted one? If that's what you want, maybe you could get another order in for a non-slotted and change it to slotted if we find out they're possible, or cancel it if the slotted doesn't materialize. Essentially that is what I have done.
I know that would be a huge outlay of funds and presents logistical problems for you, but it's a thought. I know I will be very disappointed if the slotted can't be made; imagine the above photos in the slotted style...

He he he he he he exactly what i was thinking :)

well i have not placed an order as yet for slotted or the non slotted one ... i got late by 24 hours as i was trying to work out the payment mode from India to usa .. which i have done now , And in the meantime the option of the slotted & non-slotted was removed from super-t .

I just wanted to know that if i were to place my order ( which i am ready to do ) and the slotted ones were to come through ... then could i get one of those .
Incase the slotted ones DO NOT come , then i would take the non - slotted one .. hope i am making sense :)

wishing you well and i hope you get the one you had wised for .

warm regards
Sahil

I might have missed it, but I don't know how the mechanism for the locking switch works. Since the firing switch and plunger are at the top, what does the lock switch do? Retract the negative?

Yes, Its a master/on off on the bottom and disconnects the power.

In that top pic, the button almost looks like an inset diamond. Very cool pics, David. A day-and-a-half of setup/lighting and photos. I'll bet you're ready for a long nap. Have you answered your emails and pm's yet? Oh, and don't forget inspect, clean, polish, prep, inspect again and pack and ship the other stuff. Wish I could be there to help. Great job. Good luck, son.

We needed reminding it takes time to take proper pictures, thanks! Sincerely. Stunning prototype, and the most awesome of fall backs, but I still hope the MPLS machining community comes through. Hopefully someone at one of these places is an experienced vaper and recognizes this for what it is and decides to go the extra mile.

Can't wait for the video and congrats David, it looks amazing and words just don't do it justice.

I just feel bad cause it looks almost too good to vape, almost like a trophy piece that needs to be in a case :), notice I said "almost" LOL.

Must vape it a little :) On the video, no go until at least monday, probably a bit later: still waiting on a tiny part that tracking is now saying will be in monday :-(

Lower body vent detail. 4 equally spaced vents:

Top Cap lower end view.

Shows the spring loaded plunger which makes for no exposed springs to lose and exerts constant pressure on the battery for reliable electrical connection. Note, all pieces of the spring loaded plunger will be Rhodium plated in the production version. A total of 5 parts of the Shockwave are Rhodium Plated

Also note the "D" shaped machining (not round) to securely hold and align the switch pod:

Removable Switch Pod. Contains the user replaceable Snap action mechanical switch, a high amperage version (10amp) of the same switch used in many mouses due to their extreme durability and life and also houses the Spring Loaded Plunger:

Top Cap Juice Well View. Production versions will have Rhodium plated Center Post.

Will accept the universal fit Strata rebuildable as well as most all others tanks/rebuildables.

Note machined relief and indexed air flow channels for problem tanks/rebuildables:

Top Cap inside view, switch pod removed.

Gun Drilled for maximum weight savings which can allow the Stainless Steel Shockwave to weigh less then an Aluminum 26650 mod:

My favorite part about the non-slotted is how it retains the distinctive Precise body design with slightly larger tail and head sections - it's my favorite part of all of my collection. A satin non-slotted would not only be a trophy but would be every bit of the no worry workhorse as any of my other PrecisePluses.

Holy Cow! This is awesome!

David - you have mentioned a few times the Strata rebuildable atomizer, and I think I'm late to the party on this topic...is that a rebuildable that you are working towards a design? Was it already released as a beta and I missed out? If I'm just a complete idiot, please forgive me. I would love to see you create a rebuildable with tank - and make it all match-ey match-ey with the Shockwave! My vaping experience would be COMPLETE! Not to mention that I want to buy stock in your Company!

If anyone else can answer that would be welcomed. I'm sure David is sick to death of all the questions.

Dont forget all Shockwave owners will want to buy an extra mechanical snap action switch assembly.....
Will you be selling them at some point?

Question SuperT... On your website you have AW IMR 26500 3.7v 2300mah batteries.
There are none in stock, but since they are on your site still, will they be available again?

So is this going to be a "One time only" edition meaning after this batch these won't be made ever again?
Mainly asking due to the fact of low financial situation. Sure would be sad, if these would not be available at the end on july anymore.

Yup, sounds like it is limited to 400 of them. Here is what David said about a week ago.....
Update as of 06/14/12:

First, i sincerely apologize for the wrong time frames for production. As previously stated, no one is obligated to keep their order in and can cancel and receive a full refund at anytime they wish, no hard feelings, i completely understand.

Second, the Non slotted prototype was completed this week while i was gone and i will be picking it up early this coming week. I will post up pics as soon as i can get them done.

Third, and the "bad" news. I think this will be the one and only Shockwave production run. The machine shop advised me that they do not want to machine them due to the complex machining operations and the length of the machining operations to bore out the body. The body was causing the most productions obstacles as its not a simple bore out job. In addition to being flat on the bottom of the battery chamber, it also has a machined in ledge about 1/4 of the way from the bottom and this ledge is ALSO threaded.

So sadly, the Shockwave run will most likely be limited to only 400 units but on the bright side it will be a rare limited edition model. I originally designed it to be outrageous and threw caution to the wind when designing it and it looks like it's biting me in the .... a bit :)
