Well my Silverplay arrived a coup,e hours ago, but I won't have a chance to p,at with it until I get home from work tonight. I can't wait. I definitely want to get a nano kit for it.

Nice! Please take some pics if you can... i'm trying to figure out what the secondary air holes do... if they're plume veil negative post style or something else.

As soon as mine arrives (this weekend) i'll test the 3 nano kits i have and various top caps and report back on what fits with what chimney attachments etc. Just need to pick up a bell for it... then it will be gorgeous.

So my buddy received his shipment of Silverplays today and offered me one. Check out the photos. They are straight out of the box. I didn't wash them or polish them. Let me know if you guys want shots of a specific part or an angle.

I am going to throw on a build later and check it out. I have a feeling that it's going to be beasty.

The build quality is... good. Not flawless but not crappy. Be careful when tightening down the top cap. You can easily chip or crack the glass if you don't align it right.

The air flow is superb! Wide open like a regular flavor-chasing rda. There are 2 huge main air holes on the deck, and there are 2 extra air holes on the negative post. It's like Plumveil except for the fact that the negative post is drilled hollow, and the air flow comes in from the bottom of the deck, up the post and out the side. By turning the AFC ring, you can open or close the negative post air holes...as advertised. If you want more air flow, you can either take out the AFC ring or bore out the air hole on the AFC ring. The actual air holes on the deck are slightly bigger than the holes on the AFC ring.

Looking impressive so far. I can't wait to put on a build and play around with other kayfun parts.

interesting that the top 1/4 of the juice channel is wider bore than the bottom. I didn't notice that in other pics.
I'm thinking this will wick wonderfully. nice fat wick in the upper quarter with a tail running down the channel.

I like!!!

the insulator doesnt look peek though

maybe PTFE (fluoropolymer)?

If its PTFE then it should be good to 500F

Yeah I think it's a smart design. Lower channels are bored deep all the way around the bends as well. According to the manual, you are supposed to put the wick down into the wider top notch part and nothing in the lower channel.

What you see around the base of the pos post is actually Teflon gasket according to the manual. It also states the insulators that are under the gasket are POM...which should withstand 300F +.

Cool! Thanks

PTFE is essentially teflon so we're all good here

Happy Vaping

I hadn't noticed the difference in the bore of the upper and lower juice channels either. We'll find out if this is a good thing and I get a sneaking suspicion that wicking this style deck is going to be made extremely simple due to that detail.

I spent the evening playing around with Silverplay. I did a quick dual coil build (24g G-plat/10 wraps on 3/32 drill bit reading 0.21 ohms) and played around with Kayfun parts. Here is first impression verdict. I was being more critical than I usually am in this first impression review since I was looking for an RTA that REALLY performs like an RDA at mid to high wattage. As far as the performance goes, this is a winner.

PROS
- Superb Wicking: I chained-vaped it at 60 watts on a regulated mod, and I never got a dry hit or leaks from flooding.
- Wide Open Air Flow: The air flow is on par with regular RDAs. I was taking lung-hits with minimal restriction.
- RDA flavor: The flavor was comparable to an average RDA. Spectacular for an RTA.
- Ease of AFC: AFC ring is nice and snug. It's held by an o-ring, and it's not too tight or loose.
- Parts Compatibility: I was able to create a ridiculous Franken-Rocket from Kayfun/Russian91 parts I have.

CONS
- Low Fluid Capacity: I ran through 3 ml in less than 10 minutes during my chain-vape session.
- Noisy: It doesn't whistle, but it's loud. It quickly became annoying.
- No Single Coil Option

Overall, I am pleased with the purchase. It performed as expected, like an RDA. Although I wasn't floored, it says a lot for an RTA when it can compete with RDAs. There is still something left to be desired. The fluid capacity is ridiculously low for a supposed 'cloud-chasing' RTA that runs through juice like an RDA. And the deck was too small for decent clapton coils. The biggest build I could fit on the deck with 24g wire was 3/32 drill bit. I guess I will play around with more builds and see if I can improve the flavor.

thanks for the info! how easy was the build on it?

No spinning center post??? Beefy insulator??? straight extended center pin??? snug lead screws???

Thanks in advance

All threads are like butter. Best threads on any device I own. Lead screws are a dream (not allen). The insulator did not even worry about the hot coils I was burning in. I am really feeling good about this. It sure does suck the juice down though...

I;\'m getting mine tomorrow. Are you tucking the wick into the channel? How are you wicking it?

I built it the first time like a Kayfun, with a tuck of the cotton through the 2 piece chimney. It leaked a little, but was a great vape. I rewicked like an Orchid, by putting the tip of the cotton into the top of the channel. No leaks and no dry hits. I cut the cotton flush with the side of the chimney threads, using fingernail clippers while aiming for the back of the juice channel. That gives me just enough to put the bottom tip of the cotton on top of the channel. It works for me every time.

Anyone try to vape the Silverplay with a Kayfun Chimney? If so How did it vape?
I can tell you tomorrow. Mines set to arrive and I've got LOADS of Kayfun accessories to throw on her. Also have some Kayfun bell caps and a new nano quarts kit for it as well... But those are in transit so a while out.

I got my SilverPlay and put a build on it. Dual 26g at .66 ohms. Good so far. More airflow than the orchid. Probably about the same flavor. I haven't used my orchid in a while so I can't say for sure. Definitely easier to wick with those large channels. I kind of screwed up my build though because I had to raise the coils after I wicked it since the chimney wouldn't fit. I may try to put another build on it this weekend.

I checked to see if the orchid chimney, tank and top cap would work and it looks like it fits just fine. I am using the stock tank for now though.
