This is too easy to produce the tightest micro coil ever. You won't even need to heat and squeeze them to make em tight :)

Thanks to MacTechVPR for pointing me in this direction.

Vids are rough but you'll get the idea. No words even required - it's that easy:

Here's my preferred method using darkzero coi jig :)

Very creative. Sorry, Russ, but I still find that a drillbit, fingers, and reading glasses are quicker and produce very good results :p

Commie, I hear ya bro. I've wrapped mucho micro coils and they were pretty damn tight. Or I thought they were tight till I wrapped em like this :)

Look at this beast :). No heating / squeezing required :)

Next time I do a coil I'm going to give the easer trick onto a DZ jig a try.

Supe, Do you have any info on that screw driver (brand, size, where you got it) ? My micro screwdriver set does not get that small (.055)

Sorry bro - It has no info on it. It's pretty generic but it's tiny. I know I've had it for atleast 10 years :)

I've been using a drill to wrap my coils right off the spool for a while now. Super quick, super tight, perfect micros every time.

Back in the day when I was making chainmail, I used to make coils for that, also with a drill. 16 gauge galvanized steel, 3/8" internal diameter. Would that qualify as Macro coils?

I'll have to take and post pictures tonight
