The only large battery that know that runs at 3.7 volts is the SE Riva and only the SE. Not including mods. Just because it fits an 808 carto doesn't mean it's the same.

It turns out that (Depending on the vendor) the normal rivas also put out true 3.7v. I picked up a kit yesterday and I can confirm it from LF.

Back on topic though, I think what makes the bloog battery much better is the precise air draw combined with the bloog carto. I've tried several different kr batteries and none of them emulate an analog draw as well as bloog, and I think that perfect air/vapor ratio is what makes the perfect vape

Personally, I have witnessed first-hand family and friends, and their families and friends, and so on either start or complete the transition from analogs to e-cigs, or quit analogs altogether. All of this has happened since I introduced these folks to KR808D-1 tech and all this over the last 2 1/2 months.

The fact is: that KR808D-1 technology has a proven track record of performance, reliability, and use AND carries with it one of the highest success rates in transitioning smokers away from analogs.[/B]

The KR808 tech has such a low entry cost and could save those looking for e-cig alternatives a real chance at kicking the tobacco habit. At a bare minimum, it would certainly help those considering an e-cig alternative to steer clear of vendors peddling sub-standard product with high cost entry points such as Vapcig and Neverlightagain (NLA) - products that I personally lost money on.

Here Here.

My first e-cig purchase was a KR808d-1 starter kit from Frank at Cig Easy. The day it arrived was the day I successfully quit smoking tobacco cigarettes. I wanted a seamless, effortless transition and that’s what I got. About a month later I wrote a two part piece about e-cigs that was broadcast on the Mike Malloy radio program last April.

Mike Malloy Part One
Mike Malloy Part Two

Over a hundred people bought kits after the broadcast. A couple of weeks later I sent a survey out to the new vapors and the results were broadcast on the Malloy program. Here’s what the folks said:

88% smoked for over 20 years
76% smoked a pack or more a day
88% had tried quitting multiple times and 72% had tried nicotine replacement therapies or drugs.

And after using an E-Cig for a few days …?

68% stopped smoking tobacco cigarettes completely, and the remaining 32% had cut their cigarette consumption way waaaay down.

There’s no way of knowing how many of the first 100 convinced their friends and family members to try switching from tobacco to e-cigs. And how many of those then continued to spread the word. All I know if there’s a heaven ... helping get 100 + people off of cigarettes would get me inside the pearly gates.

KR808 batteries and carts have proved to be the right combination to help people successfully quit smoking.

My own progression in the wonderful world of vaping has lead me to larger batteries, Cig Easy’s Elegant Easy, Elegant Easy XXL, and finally to the Go-Go and the 3ML Go-Carts. As I wrote recently in my review of the Go-Go, “I needed to duplicate the analog experience to successfully make the switch. After months of using the KR808 batteries, and then switching to manual batteries, and then using the Elegant Easy … it was no big deal. But going directly to the XXL would’ve been like going from cigarettes to smoking a pipe. It would have taken some time getting used to an entirely different feel. I think it was necessary, for me anyway, to make the progression over time from the KR808 to the XXL.”

I haven’t used my old KR808 batteries for a couple of months now. But a friend of mine, I showed him the starter kit a few days after I received it, he tried it, and immediately ordered one for himself, has no interest in trying a “Fat Bat.” He’s happy with a couple of charged batteries and a carts of 555.

Again as I wrote, “Someday somebody will come out with a battery and cartomizer about the size of a Camel filter 100 that will last for days.”

And I’ll be in line to buy it.

In the meantime I’m frequently stopped by people wondering what in the Wide Wide World of Sports I’m smoking. If they’re smokers I give them a business card and tell them to pick up a KR808D-1 starter kit for 50 bucks. I don’t know how many follow through but for those that do … I know they’re going to be having fun.

I'll take you word on the Bloog since I never used one. You can correct me if I'm wrong but the Riva was a knockoff of the Ego. Now there are knockoffs of the Riva by other manufacturers. Things move so fast in this industry with so many rebranded products that I find it impossible to keep up with who is selling what. The only vendor I know selling a true 4.2V Riva is LF and I'm not even sure if that applies to all of them. The XL KR808 kit was also my first and it's still the one I use the most.

I've been liking Ikenvape's megas on V4L batts - I'm mostly on the passthru so the voltage is mod-worthy. For the road I often grab my Reo or another mod but really, especially as the knockoff thing is so swift re anything from China, which everything skinny is, and evolution so rapid, I'd need a lot of persuasion to switch to another 808 batt. (I happen to hate 501s - different strokes is all.) I agree that the new V4L "bling" autos are likely something close to Bloog, if not identical, but there's of course no authoritative source to confirm that. (I prefer manuals anyway, but they really are a different thang). Cartos are a different matter - V4L is promising a mega carto (and a mod) and I like V4L products - meanwhile, anyone want to compare Bloog cartos with the Ikenvape mega that I've been enjoying? Seventy drops at a go turns me on more than batt life, but I have a LOT of batts, and always carry a handful; easy exchange.

I've ordered some of Ikenvapes - what is the best way to fill them? Also have my first passthrough en route, otherwise the cartos will be on my V4L for now.

I started out using autos, but switched over to manuals since I'm refilling cartos & I keep hearing about how easy it is to kill an auto with leaking juice. I haven't touched my stealth or diamond series lately out of paranoia, just realized the bloog would make me nervous too.

beachpuff, I fill 'em dripping topside, 20-30 drops at a time, with a Taryn spin between each load. I keep the old condoms with stems around for the batt end to keep the center from clogging and the Leaford lanyard works very snugly for the spin. Takes less than a minute. I think there's some flavor loss with the megas but nothing drastic. I hate hate hate atty dripping. Go figure.

Thanks aubergine! I wasn't sure which would work better, condom fill or dripping into the carto.

What exactly is atty dripping for the kr808d1? I've read that you can pick up a 901 atty & it fits on the kr808, but I can't figure it out - does it go on the battery? And you fill it and vape from it like a carto?

The atomizer screws into the battery and instead of using a cartridge you can drip a drop or two of juice directly into the atomizer. Take three or four puffs then put another drop in. They also sell drip tips for the atomizer. I like to use CE2s for dripping instead of an atomizer. Take out all the plugs and it works the same way but if I put too much juice in it just goes into the carto instead of down to the battery.

I have some CE2s on the way to try out. Figured that would give me a longer lasting dripping experience than messing with an atty every few puffs. But the atty would be a good way to try out flavors. I've noticed a taste difference with lesser quality cartos. Waiting to see what Bloog comes out with in the next couple of weeks now that CNY is over.

I mix my own and trying out flavors is the main reason I drip, just don't put to much in. They are also cheap enough to dedicate a flavor to it's own carto. They still have problems and I don't generally recommend them unless you know what you are getting into. They are great for dripping.

I have been vaping for over 7 months now, and my pv are ego & riva. I'm tired messing around with modding carts because the wicking sucks, wiping everything because juice leaks etc etc. I also not impressed with 510 atties (510 carts made me topping-off every minute, the wicking sucks yadda yadda yadda) and cartomizers (too much hazzle to refill and quite short lived) although they got the best flavor i've ever found. I have tried a kr-8 (one of my friend use it) but I don't like it because the carto are going to hot for my lips. I also have tried ce2 r4 carto with kr-8 unit and still don't like it. I'm still looking for an analog-like pv like this, I'm more than interested about this maxx fusion but unfortunately bloogplanet don't have any option for me (i'm living in Indonesia) no shipping and registering available for me. :(

The bloog cartos can get hot too. YOu should maybe try some coolcarts? They run at higher ohm thus a cooler vape. Or just stick a drip tip onit, that stays cool even when cartos get hot.

Yes, definately give V4L Coolcarts a try. They ship worldwide and are reliable. I've never had a coolcart burn my lips or my juice!

All you need to do for your Bloog getting to hot is cut a little hole in the bottom of one of the condoms that come with the carto's. Slip it over the mouth piece end, and viola! Awesome little heat shield. Works like a charm, and is also easy on the teeth, if you need to go hands free for a minute. Hope this helps.
