Just got mine yesterday,love it too. People were talking about the button on the bottom sticking out and not letting the unit sit completely flat,mine doesn't have that problem. Button is recessed and it sits completely flat. Must of fixed the problem.
or keep it as an experimental rebuild project. there has got to be a way to get inside and replace the batteries. even an iPhone has the ability to open it up, de-solder the old batter and replace it
Most batteries can be cycled about 300 charges. If you were to charge the MVP every 2 days it could last about 600 days. I am quite certain that something new and exciting will come available before then.
Until that time I will continue to enjoy my puff counting, VV, VW, 510 & ego threaded, 2600 mah battery, passthrough device.

Always let your battery discharge completely before charging. The first charge is probably the most important, so make sure you discharge completely at least for the first charge. I didn't use it while it was charging the first time to allow an uninterrupted charging cycle. MVP isn't really old enough to see average lifespan. I don't know if 2nd version uses a different battery.
I have had my MVP for a couple days now and it is freakin' awesome! The disposable issue keeps coming up but I don't see it worthy of concern. In the short time I have been vaping I have bought about 3-4 eGo style batteries for various reasons and I know I am not done trying different devices. The vape market is changing so rapidly that it wasn't long ago when an ego with a ce4 costed about as much as the MVP V2 with an iCLEAR 30! Your not marrying the dang thing, so just buy it and use the heck out of it till you get bored with it and then get something else that peakes ur interest. Personally, I would be more prone to buying several different setups to try and have before I would buy 1 holy grail for $200! These aren't words of experience, it's just the way I think of it. The MVP is a great box mod, no 2 ways about it!!! At the end of the day they are all just batteries, right? Some are built better than others and have more or less features, but that is what makes the hobby so awesome! You can set it all up how you want. I will say that the better manufacturers are getting the recognition that they deserve, so if you are finding tons of good reviews from different sources, then I would say that product is tried and true. Did I mention my MVP is freakin' awesome? 
If I get a year or so out of an MVP then I got my $50 worth. I'm looking for inexpensive, hassle free all day vaping. That's what I got. When this one dies I will not hesitate to buy another unless something better comes along.
Not sure if normal but i charged my mvp overnite on friday and used it normally saturday, not even excessively because i was using some other setups. But anyways i ran out low on the tank i had on the mvp and my gfs dad needed to charge his phone(we were having bonfire) well anyways i let him use my mvp to charge it and it seemed to do pretty good, about 40% in 45 minutes on a galaxy s3... well once he gave it back to me i put a different tank on it and tried to vape and the mvp was completely dead. And yes i did flip the output switch back to off and i did all the other tricks to turn it back on. Charged overnight again on saturday and havent charged since then. If thats all the longer the output charger works, its almost a useless feature.

love love love my MVP. It lasts me about 3 days on a charge and for me it has a smooth consistent vape. At first I was nervous carrying this around, but not anymore! It's just a great mod all around. It has worked great for my Mini Protank 2's, Drip Atomizers and Cartos. Really like the ability to read ohms so I don't over cook my different atomizers.

I feel similarly. If I spent $45 on cigarettes, I'd have nothing to show for it in a lot less time.
And no electronic device will last forever. At some point, some parts or even the whole device will need replacing. Even if I save up for a ProVari, I will probably have to send it in for repairs eventually. That's the nature of electronics; they're not immortal. (At least with a ProVari, I could get repairs done. With many mods, I'd have to simply replace the device, same as with the MVP.)
Ya huge fan here. Got it as my travel mod as I break my stuff and there was the toilet thing. But I am really impressed and great vape with it! For the price, utility, portability and great vape to boot I am pleasantly surprised.
I love my mvp2!! I am a heavy equipment operator and bought an AWP cell phone holder at Lowes for $3.95 for it. The holder clips onto my belt or pocket and is nice so I don"t have to worry about having it drop out of my pocket while working. I too used mine to recharge my Galaxy SIII but did not charge it all the way and had enough charge to get me through the day with both devices.
I have found that not all Clearomizers work great on this thing as well but I find it is not the MVP 2 but the coils inside of the different brands not wicking, dry firing and burning the liquid.

I just got my mvp 2 in the mail today! It is an excellent device, Been vaping for a few hours and still at 4.0 battery (guess I'm not as heavy a vaper as I thought). I expect this device will last me a couple days before recharging. I'm not too fond of the iclear30 that's on it though, seems to not give me the same flavor that my evod bcc clearos do. I'm running it on 8.0w but have played around with the vv as well between 3.5 and 4.0 with the 2.0 ohm iclear. Maybe I filled the iclear up too much? Any tips for thiss vaping n00b will be greatly appreciated.
I too am a fan of the MVP2. They are on sale at 101vapes for $39.99. They just put up more colors so get you one!
I was not pleased to get the iclear30...until I tried it. Good vape! Also, a lot of folks who have been disappointed in their evod clearos have put them on the MVP and been very happy. It tightens up the draw somehow and makes the evod a good vape. So far, I have not used it to charge anything cause I have chargers for all my 'toys' in every vehicle and my big truck. I even carry an inverter in the car so I can use the 110 plugs if I need to. I never let myself run out of cigs, now I never let myself run out of vapes. Back up for the back ups, ya know?
I do have a ZMax that goes to 15watts if I want more power. I think having one of both is a good way to cover all bases. Some of my juices really pop at 11.5 or 12. Most of the time I am at about 8 so both mods get a lot of use and my evod batteries just sit around looking cute.

I own the original MVP and the VTR now, But I recommend the MVP 2.0 for all my friends who want to get into vaping. Its hard for someone coming from analogs to want to use a Box Mod but you cant beat the versatility of using any 510 or ego threaded attachment on it. The charging feature is not to fully charge something but to use in emergency situations. All in all its the best mod around for the price and to get it for as low as 39.00 its a steal..."Start the Car"
