When the wick is wet but not flooded, the hot coil in contact with the damp/wet wick causes the popping sound of liquid vaporising on a metal surface, much like dripping drops of water on a hot frying pan.

If the wick and coil area is flooded, the coil is overwhelmed, and heats up the liquid, warming up the entire tank, and perhaps producing a burbling sound, but little or no vapor.

The harsh taste you describe would be when the wick is not damp enough, and probably a little gunked, and the coil is BuRnIng gunk, and producing burnt smokey stuff mixed in with the vapour.

The set-up I bought last night was 3-hole punched Smoktechs (a 1.8 and a 2.6, I think) and though it has been the FIRST device to ever actually make a chocolate juice taste like chocolate to me, even inside my own home, the vape from the Smoktechs was a little to hot for some reason. The taste was somewhat better than my usual results, just the texture of the vape, and just a slight weird taste (possibly imagined, possibly confused for the texture of the vape) was a bit too hot all the way around.

Dunno why. It's just more mysteries. If anyone wants to give me some advice on that, feel free.

Yeap, the horizontal method works like a dream for VG, doesn't work worth slick lick with PG. Neither flood, it's just that the PG is vaping way too hot.

And to be honest, with the whole voltage thing, it's either been that low voltage produces less vapor and less flavor than a dinky disposable, or at a somewhat higher voltage, whatever I'm using will be way too hot in some sort of flavor or way.

The Cisco was the only device that performed true to what voltage is supposed to do. It got better with higher voltage, and had it's own sweet spot.

Ya'll got to remember, I started vaping in 2009.

That's worth about as much as a little ol' lady crashing into a mailbox and in her defense she's been driving cars since 1909, and blaming it on the mailbox.

Doesn't matter how long you've vaped if you refuse to soak up any knowledge shared by anyone. Vaping is as simple as a coil heating liquids delivered by a wick. If you can't make sense of the very basics, you are in no position to devise completely unscientific experiments to revolutionize the vaping world and save us all from our well working setups that you fail to reproduce.

Be more like the ocean. Less talking; more action. (Ye that's sort of a quote ;))

I sincerely hope you manage to make your own coils soon so you can start to work your way towards getting a good vape.

If you got a Vape that was very close to Chocolate, more than likely you were tasting the Actual Flavor of the e-liquid. Almost ALL chocolate Vapes are a little OFF. Chocolate is extremely difficult to recreate chemically with accuracy. Most have a slight chemical Bite.

On a point of honesty only.
Your long winded post become agitating to anyone that has vaped for even a short time and gotten enjoyment out of it. We just cannot comprehend anyone being so Picky or inept as to never get it right.
Your whining about every experience is even more irritating than the constant whine of a baby in the middle of the night.

Yet, here we are. We still offer serious suggestions which seem to fall upon deft ears in an attempt to assist someone who has claimed to know everything about practically everything.

Case in point:
Vaping for a total of 4 years - aka, don't tell me to tilt my clearomizer!
An air of arrogance uncalled for by someone that cannot find success in Vaping enjoyably.

Tip of the Hour:
If you want a cooler Vape, without sacrificing the power required to properly Vaporize the e-liquid - PURCHASE a longer Drip Tip :)

@CRXESS does the drip tip actually change the experience by quite a bit? if so, I will go out and try one monday!
Look up and look at the design/length of the Eternity Atomizer.
Wick is way down in the Base and the mod is a good 2.5" tall. Even with a 1.8 ohm coil and 8 watts power, enough to easily vaporize, the vape is only mildly warm. The Vapor is still decent and the flavor is not overly muted.

A Longer Drip tip moves you away from the heat, same as walking away from a fire place.

If I place my extended Drip tip on the Eternity is actually almost goes to a cool vape.

I've been trying to come up with a response to this, but still don't get the point. Why is the OP so oddly specific about disposable devices in the first few lines, and then goes on to discuss VG tweaking? It was also implied that the Blu is old school. Isn't that a relatively new piece of (expensive) cr*p? Finally, adding a drop of PG to a tank and having it turn to the consistency of water is an observation that I would label as "BS".

Might I ask you for the third time to post pictures of your setup ao we can have a look at the offending toppers?

GoodNews! on posting photo's -

And what am I going to post a photo of exactly? My computer is a 1GB DDR3 Memory POS that I got for $99 at a Pawn Shop, it does horrible with the file formats and photo sizes of the camera I use in my Cinematography career, and my antique, 5-year old iPhone doesn't take photos worth seeing.

Go look somewhere else if you want a photo, and go accuse someone else who hasn't repeated their vaping techniques a billion times. Or simply go read. I've posted dozens of reviews and I do contain this information in each of them. With photos, I could make a tank, coil, or problem look like anything I wanted to in a photo if I was really out to "scam" anyone with these reviews. Someone would accuse me of that if I did. So I don't waste my time with it. There's nothing to see, usually the problems I get are a complete physical mystery.

However I love to post photo's from my $39 Pawn Shop Laptop with pictures from my $19 digital camera.

My "travelling" collection-

I promise I will post pictures of my battery, the new Fluxomizer, and even a picture I took of the faulty Ohm checker as soon as I look up the code that allows you to send pictures to email. The Iphones require a code and I hate that. You can't just enter your email into the contact. It's horribly annoying and it's also why I don't post pictures. But I will, for you guys.

It'll be here in a couple minutes.

Fluxomizer - just took a look, never owned one. Similar in design to a CE2 or Ego/w clearomizer.
{Vape feels to hot to Op) Unit is Top coil. Coil sits Very High, just under the Tip.
Design achieves maximum Heated e-liquid to User.
Low cost, disposable, superseded by EVERYTHING - ce3, ce4, ce5, etc.

You cannot get Wine from a Grape simply by sucking on it.

2.4ohm Fluxomizer with a bit of blend of VCV's Burley Beard, Caramel Swirl, and Candy Bar (already have vaped two tankfuls on it), with the famous Vision Spinner, and the second picture is the faulty Ohm Checker, proof of that.

Bad luck has it that even after the pin trick, the weird thing is that it a couple of the Flux's still say 4.01 or so, while a couple others finally read their true ohms. Weirdest thing ever was.

And yes, the old phones require a code from Yahoo to send pictures to a Yahoo account. Call up Apple if you don't like it.

Thankfully guess whatttt - I got a slightly updated version of the Iphone a couple days ago, so guess what! More pictures now. Well, not really, I hate pictures, they serve no purpose except with RDA's, but hey, I'll post em if that's really a big thing to everyone!

Yes, people clearly use way too much editing in their gear shots. You could think that you're looking at the best coil ever built, but in truth you're just looking at a cleverly photoshopped picture of Grand Canyon.

Pictures are pointless.

I completely disagree. Some may Photoshop. I'm to old and lazy. :D

100_1356.jpg

This was just 2 months ago and now has almost doubled -not including all my spares and DIY gear.:glare:
Maybe if I get un-lazy in a few days/weeks, I'll take another:D
Waiting on a 5th Nemesis(clone) and Kayfun Lite Plus and a few other things.
Most of the Tanks, etc. have been semi retired and replaced by Kayfun types and Killer 705 tank setups.
Yes there are different plains of Vaping - Very Different Plains.
Basic Clearos are drop of water in the Dessert They have purpose - survival - but that is about it.
I use T3 mini Clearos for work - daily survival - and enjoy Vaping when I get back home:D
