Thanks tearose50 lithod02 and katdarling. it's hard to tell from the small photo's, he had 2 chassis in the ad stating 1 upgraded 1 not so I took a chance. I was trying to figure out if upgraded defiantly meant it was the 2.0. he wasn't sure. Well it's paid for now so I'll have to wait and see.

Hello all and i hope you guys are well .
Just a small question but of massive concern to me , hope you guys will chime in with your views .
THE Draw !! , its my main concern , i currently use a Reo Grand with a kick in it and would like to buy the xl mod as a backup , i mainly use either the boge lr cartos or the ikenvape 801's with an adapter on the grand .
The draw on the grand is pretty nice and loose as the carto holes are exposed for air intake .
i do see that there is a cone with small holes on the vapeage xl , but inspite of that i am a little worried about the draw being too tight .
would highly appreciate your view's .
thanking you in advance and wishing you well
warm regards
Sahil .

Fernand-san. Those cookies look delicious! Is that your own DIY juice recipe you are describing?
Domo arigato, Dragonbone. Macaroons are cookies made with egg whites, sugar, and ground almonds, hazelnuts or coconut to replace flour, cream of tartar, plus some culinary flavorings to taste. They have a crunchy outer layer with a chewy inside. The coconut variant has an especially chewy texture. The simple packaged grocery store macaroon tends to be too sweet; the aficionado's Macaroon is half-way to a meringue, but chewy.

People often add a ganache icing, or filling, that might be almondy, hazelnutty or chocolatey.

The coconut Macaroon, as an e-liquid, turned into the all-day vape for members of my household and friends. It's all VG, with about 5% diacetyl-free flavorings, a few drops/10 ml of water and alcohol (to thin the VG), and 6-12 mg/ml nicotine in VG. It's addicting, you "can't just vape one"(R), and if/when you're chain-vaping ("look, Ma, no calories!"), 6-8mg/ml nicotine is satisfying for most Macaroon-heads.

Sahil .

I myself find the draw "just right" on the XL. But I have only used IKENVAPE 901's on it. I do prefer a draw that's a little less "airy" myself. To me it's the same as if I use the 901 with a drip shield on a dripping mod.

Hard to gauge, it's relative. To me the Boge 2ohm and the Resurrector 1.7ohm seem to draw VERY freely on the XL, especially compared to any atomizer. It's a nice change now and then, in fact. They do glup up as they age, of course. And the diameter is important in the chimney, you get the best draw if the carto is unwrapped steel. But there's plenty of air, and you can fiddle with whether you use the inner o-ring, how tight you screw things down, and in addition other details, like removing the chimney o-ring. If your juice isn't water-thin, it stays inside pretty much unconditionally. I think you'll like it.

@Dragonbone, hai, I'm afraid so ;-)

I am into week 2 with the Smart Vapes 1.8 Dripping Atty. Have a 3 ohm that I will use with the 4.8 volt batteries sometime next week but think that will be a little cool for me so it will probably stay on a ProVari.

First off it is still alive and kicking. Been run through a couple of vodka baths overnight and that is it.

Meters out at 1.8 and no change in that so far. Running on 18650's as per normal.

The only comparisons I have are SR/LR standard 510's and Hybrids. It beats 510's easily however if I could get a Hybrid to not short or die and just behave they are very good. I think that the Dripping Atty just about beats it for vapour production but flavour on both are very good.

It is spitty. That is probably down to me not having the feeding style completely worked out but did find a fix due to coming across a video. The video was by Hanna, the 357 guru. In it he said to take an atty bridge, invert it and put it into the bottom of your drip tip. Viola' problem over.

I was at work at the time and to be fair even at home I don't have that many atty bridges laying around. That many is an exaggeration zero is the precise count. Anyway I started looking through what I had available and soon found a cable tie and a pair of scissors.

Cut to approximate length, trim to width of drip tip orifice, insert, all good. Of course it doesn't have to be cable tie any semi rigid but flexible plastic will work.

Not pretty but effective. Left a few mm out so ease removal for cleaning.

Next week see's a slight suspension of my purchasing embargo when a couple of Cisco 306's and a 357 will slip into my shopping cart.

Thanks Tearose! That was purely by chance, as I had done those nails a few days ago for another forum (nails are my other hobby) but hadn't got around to taking and posting a pic as I wasn't happy with them. Then my sleeve arrived and it all fell together!
Looks great with those nails, too!

Edit:
Tadaaa!!! Check out my VMod on my nail forum news page hehe...

Consider long barrel on the .357. They do tend to spit hot molten juice up your tongue.

A workaround is to use a piece of something inside the drip-tip to stop the spit.

Another is to use one of the many 510 carts most of us bought (remember the dinosaur?), take out the batting, cut it off at the air inlets, and use it as a mouthpiece. The only drawback is that if you like to hold your Vmod in your teeth while using your hands, the 510 cart is not a very tight fit, and as you're looking e.g. at the original Magna Carta in its crystal display case, the XL comes crashing down. Then you have to dig and pick it out of the sharp broken glass & rubble. Tip: use the silly parchment (before you discard it) to blow out the mouthpiece into, and to wipe your VMod spankin' clean.

A wide mouthed drip-tip helps too for some reason. It's like pickle jars, apparently.

Finally got my hands on an HH.357 and slapped it on my XL. This thing blows the other hybrid 306 away! I got a nic high and had to put it down. This setup pretty much rocks.

"Pretty much"? It rocketh, dude, it just rocks

Here is the same HH.357 at t = 0 and t = 5 wks
chain vaping 90% VG juice w/ 8 mg/ml nicotine in VG,
4.5% H2O, 0.5% Ethanol, and 5% flavorings in PG.

HH357at5wks.jpg

It still rocketh but good!

So I bought one of these bc of all the great reviews. I already have a Lava tube but wanted a bottom feeder and thought I would try this. So my question is I like most of my juices at around 5 volts what LR atty ohms wise would I need to accomplish this task. I see the HH .357 is a nice atty could anybody recommend anything else that works good on the Vmod XL? Thanks for the help in advance.

What are you vaping at 5 volts ? From there just hit up an Ohm's Law calculator for the wattage.

I was doing some playing with it the other day. I use 3 ohm Boge's on a Provari at 5.5 volts giving me 10+ watts. I vape a 1.8 atty at 3.7 volts giving me 9+ watts.

Was wondering to myself if I needed the extra wattage to get a similar flavour via carto as atty.

Anyways.....anywhere between 1.5 - 2 ohm atty should be good to go. As said I use a 1.8 but have used 1.5 and 3 ohm at 5v.

Thanks for the reply and u are talking LR atties correct? I am vaping a Iken Vape Fusion 2.5 ohm and I have some Boge 3.0 ohm both single coil cartos the Boges I go up to about 5.3-5.5 depending on the juice. Have any suggestions on a good attie to try Im new to bottom feeders Ive only own tube mods the Provari and the Lavatube.

Yep have a ProVari or 2 myself.

I have been using a SmartVapes 1.8 ohm Dripping Atty for the last couple of weeks to great effect. I have had both good and bad experiences with the Vapage Hybrid 1.5 atty. When working they are awesome. Normal LR 510 atty's work but the flavour is diminished compared to the two mentioned.

I am about to buy a couple of 357's as my curiosity has gotten the best of me lol So sometime next week I should start to know what that is about.

By the way great choice. Leak and hassle free.
