Kami, no I think the outside diameter of the drip tip needs to be very thin for better air flow, but you might just give that nice drip tip a go and let us know how it does in comparison to a regular one.
I gave five a go Jo, with an atty;
A Cherry Vapes SS Ming
Steel | Ming | Drip Tips | E-| Cig| Cigarette | 510 | Cherry Vape
A NHaler Glass #36
Glass Drip Tips
A COV SS Flat Tip
NEW! 510 Flat Tip Stainless Steel
A COV AFC Tip
Stainless Steel AFC Air Flow Control Drip Tip
VModXL Stock Drip Tip
You already have one
The best IMHO is the Glass Tip, just feels good, smooth and very little heat transfer and proper flow.
The VMOD stock and the SS Ming are tied for second.
The Flat Tip is to short and gets warm.
The AFC is terrible, extreme tight draw even opened all the way up, and visually has a small inside diameter. (It works very well when dripping, using a GG Stealth and ProVari, attached to a 510-510 extender/atty with a drip shield, and this is the only other application I have tried it with)
Visually inspecting the inside diameter and wall thickness, the ming has the largest of both, then the VMOD tip comes in with the second largest inside diameter but comes in 4th with wall thickness. The glass tip has about the same inside diameter as the VMOD tip but the thinnest wall thickness...go figure it's glass

The Flat tip has similar inside diameter as the VMOD as well but the outside diameter varies due to it's shape, thin wall on the flat surface, thicker wall on the curved surface. Come to think about it so does the ming, wall thickness must vary in venturi section. The AFC has the smallest inside diameter and the largest wall. But that is also variable due to it's design. Two piece design, larger outer tube accepts the smaller inner tube,
threaded and sealed with tiny orings.
