Thanks for furthering my education on Hybrid atomizers... Skinny is a good guy; smart to mass produce these shifu spec hybrids for us all to enjoy are reasonable prices.... vaping SHIFU +1

Actually I'm the one who suggested the changes in that shifu spec hybrids when I visited the Vapage HQ a while back.

Howdy folks,

Vapeman was here today, about 1 hr ago. VmodXL is here!!! All washed up and rinsed and dried. It's now in my hand, filled with watermelon (my new juices aren't here yet,) and it's all great! I am surprised at how light and airy the draw is, may have to plug one of the air holes, stiffen up the draw a bit. Don't know why, I'm also a bit surprised and how weighty it feels in my hand. It feels heavier than my lavatube with a half filled mini vivi nova on it.

So, its awfully early to give any kind of review ( like antone wants to hear me review a well known device) but I will say, first impression is great. Great flavor with the silo, will use the hybrid after new juices come in...if I can wait that long, HA. Weight feels good...comfortable in my hand. Draw is a bit airy, but my DIY juice tastes great, better than with the tube and mini on it. Button is good, batteries that came are flat tops like the ones with the tube, so I think maybe I might use a spacer....maybe. One thing I did notice, with the tube, the slickness of it doesn't seem to matter much, with the VMod, with a whole 35 minutes under my belt, I wish there was some texture to the VMod body (maybe a leather jacket for it will help). Anyone else experience this. It will probably go away after I get used to it some more, we'll see.

So far, if I had to do it all over, the taste by itself would make me buy one, the fact that I have that much juice in my hand would make me buy one, it looks pretty good too. So far there's nothing that would make me NOT buy one. Damn thing is great.....

Big Mac
PS....wife got to the mail before me.....wants to know why I've been doing this for 1.5 months and already needed to purchase ANOTHER device..oh we'll, hahahahaha

If you stiffen the draw vapor production will suffer. YMV.

Glad you got it and glad you like it!!. Wait til your juices come in then slap in the Shifu. You think flavor is good in the silo!

We always like to see reviews of our well known device!! Just confirms why we like them so much!! Specially when we can share in the excitement of discovering this great device!

Howdy all you VMod'ers. Just picked up a lightly used XL myself as a driving PV. Now I know what all the hype is about. I was kind of skeptical about feeders in the past, was expecting much more "maintenance". This thing works very well with very little muss/fuss. I love the fact that one can tote around 9ml of juice all compact and stuff. It came with some fairly beaten up attys and carto, so I went into my "magical vape box" and pulled out one of the 'good' Boge 2ohm cartos still sealed, transferred the little seal that came on the Vapage attys (not sure yet if it's really needed or not), and this thing is fogging up the room. Taste is pretty darn good too. Can't wait to kick this thing. Although, that DNA12 mod looks extremely intriguing. Hmmm...

As a side note, if anyone thinks the Vapage attys/cartos give an airy draw, try a good ol' Boge. Works well to tighten up the draw a bit. Be sure to load it up as usual before putting onto the XL. I have been using this combo for several days now. Impressive. Reminds me of a well running DCT.

The diameter of the Kick is too large. The 2.0 is smaller and takes a 14500 battery rather than the XL which will take 18500 (kicked)/18650 batteries. I wouldn't doubt that Evolv will come out with smaller diameter versions soon. Maybe I'm behind the times, but I don't recall seeing a smaller Kick.

I think I'm asking a question I already have the answer to (no I think?), but can the VMOD 2.0 be kicked? I have no experience with the Kick, but would love to have VW in my primary device.

Thanks for the answer! Now, is there a time-machine available for me to go back and buy the XL instead of the 2.0? ;)

Howdy folks, let me start by saying, ahhhhhhhhhhh, ain't life grand? My new VMod and I are getting along very well. Taste is great, vapor production is excellent.

I found that if I use my pointer finger on the button instead of my thumb, it feels much more natural to me. Originally I was pushing the button with my thumb. I made a comment about it while my wife was in the room, and she said something along the line of "turn the thing over old man", and I did. What she said was actually not that nice, i'm paraphrasing here. Works better for me that way. Nice and comfy.

Last night once, and once this morning, my wife asked if I had lite a cig. Said she smelled smoke. I caught a whiff of it this morning also. I had just taken a hit and chocked it up just before the smell. I think I was under-juiced, what do you think? Does that sound like anyone else's experience?

In the bag that my extra bottles came in, there's a small plastic item. Kinda looks like the small white plastic piece that comes in the end of a carto, anyone know what that is?

Lastly, I am very happy with my XL. Like I said before, I'm new to DIYing and the XL has given my homemade watermelon juice new life. Before is was an ok vape, one that I thought was a ok for a first try...with the taste coming from the XL, I'm now also a much happier DIYer, lol.

Ya know what, there is one other thing I wanted to ask....my wife asked me last night " so what are you going to do to fancy that one up?" I thought about it, saw the extra bodies on line, but was wondering, has anyone done anything 'special' to their VMods to fancy them up? Can't say I've seen any threads showing blinged out VMods anywhere?

Thanks folks, ya'll steered me in the right direction for the VMod.

That is a seal to go between the tip of the bottle and the 'staging trough'. It's an integral part, so don't lose it.

I've been thinking about shooting a light rubberizing coat on mine. The factory 'feel' of the outer case is just a small bit too slippery for the shape of it.

I kinda like the "smoketec SHORTY" cartos with the vmods myself. Less batting and the juice pulls thru them better IMHO

TB, what would you use for that? I had my case *sandpapered* by a metal guy neighbor and it's just down to the industrial metal now. Would like to give it a coat of rubberization, but I"m not good at crafts so it has to be easy. :)

wherever I roam
I have just contacted the new Wraps company on ECF --- they do gorgeous wraps and since i still have xtra cases for both my 2.0 and the XL, I'm sending them in for a template. Once they have the template they should be able to make holographic and other designs, including custom onces, for the Vmod stuff.

What do you all think? Since Vapage really doens't have that many shell designs I think this will be cool. :) I'm packaging them up now to send in and see if they can cut a template for it. I'm sure there are a lot of vmodians out there so it will generate some orders.

nevermind it was answered thanks

There has been a couple Powder Coated ones around here and a lil Vmod that was done up pretty nice. Mine will be shipping off this week for some "Custom" treatment!! Can't wait, since I love Customs:w00t:

Sandpapered? Sounds like you may want to spray a light coat of primer on it to smooth everything out. I am going to try this from the neighborhood Home Deepot http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...&productId=100131010&R=100131010#.UI2514asxt0

Howdy folks,
Hey there Fisher Pal, maybe if you tape a fresh crisp $5 to the mail box with a little note that sez it's all theirs if they get that box open, and add wink, wink, to it, you'll find it ready when you get home tomorrow. If they can't get ya the key ask them to leave it with a neighbor ya trust. Either way, I'm sending ya as much luck as I can via reiki (wife is a reiki master).

Tat, what are you, a blatant tease? You say there's some blinged out VMods, but provide nothing so I can find it? You say you are sending yours out for some custom work and don't supply even the slightest hint as to the custom work you're going to have done, geez. And here I thought this forum was about providing help, a forum for the free flow of ideas and here you keep them all to yourself. Wow...just wow (did it make ya feel guilty, HA). My job here is done.

Guilt, learned that from my wife, sez it's the great motivator....I keep telling her its actually sex, but I'm gonna try guilt on you Tat.
