Howdy folks,

I've been kinda AWOL From this thread for a bit, wanted to kinda check in and give some info.

Got my VModXL on 10/27. It stayed in my hand and was all I used for the next 2-3 weeks or so. I have 2 18650 batts I bought with it as well as 4 of the bottles. Got a few other minor things like some shorty cartos and a couple of bridgeless attys left ( not Vapage gear ).

I have come to the conclusion, that I enjoy my lavatube more than the VMod. That's not to say I didn't like the VMod, but I think it's just not for me at this time. Don't know why, but that's just the way it is. I end up fooling around with it more than I do with the lavatube...maybe it's the VV on the tube, I don't know.

Anyways, I'm going to end up selling or trading the VMod gear, don't know which yet and I guess I need to get verified first. Gotta figure out the logistics of this.

You guys have been fantastic folks, I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed the discussions here, and all the back and forth. I'm not giving up my VModian citizenship. I guess I'm gonna hold dual citizenship, VModian, and Tubular. I'll check back in to say hi and see how y'all are doing.

Always your friend,

Man, if I could, I'd sure take that kit off your hands. I'm just loving mine now that I have the hang of it. I'm sure you will have no problems whatsoever selling it. Glad you stopped by and I sure enjoyed your posts as you addressed many of the same things I was thinking - both being V-Newbians and all. :)

Take care, Big Mac and continue to drop by now and then!

Wow. That's some thin metal to be 'grinding' like that. Impressive. Are those some impressions in the metal on the one to the right, or just weird reflections?

I'm actually not sure, those are the pic's of my shellz at the Anodizers(Kenom) being preped for custom
work:w00t:

I haven't been in in a while either, things have been quite nuts at work. Just thought I'd pop in, and see what's going on. Still loving my XL, but still haven't installed the Kick in it yet, since the Shi-Fu spec atties are working so nicely for me. (that last is for the ninja from Vapage to see lol)

Hi All. Still loving those "shifu spec" vapage ninja attys.....a lot.:)

I've been using the older style Universal Hybrid on some other gear as well......and am glad I decided to re-visit them. It's been very sweet...and I'd pick up more if Ninja decides to have a blow out sale to prepare for the Shifu Universal Hybrid.

Dream on, tearose.

I should be receiving my order of Shifu's this week and can hardly wait! Have been using a simple Joye 510 because, quite frankly, it works better for me than the atty that came with the kit. Had to take it out the other day to give it a clean (was very surprised as how little residue there was!) so put the 'kit' atty back on in the meantime. Wow - memories came flooding back of all the problems I was experiencing with dry hits when I first got my XL. Nice to know that it wasn't all just 'me' ... that atty, sorry to say, but it sucks! Glad to hear that people love them so much - am hoping for the same results.

A while ago I said I would try to upload some pics of my XL when I got it 'duct-taped'. Well, I've been using it for awhile now, the tape hasn't peeled off yet (although I couldn't get a sharp enough edge to truly tidy up the cuts - even an xacto knife couldn't do it), it feels great in my hand and ... it doesn't slip! Although ... I do have some very nice wallpaper that I'm eyeballing now. :) Anyway, with any luck the pictures will upload and you can see it. You can't really see it very well but it is an 'oak leaf' motif ... heh heh

Howdy folks,

Not bad there Fisher Pal. Looks cool, I like that.

I told ya I was gonna do a leather coat for mine, and even though I'm not using it like I was (meaning 24/7), I did cut my first pattern for a cover before I left for my daughters for thanksgiving. It is my first project when I return home on Monday. Hope I can do as well as you did. I haven't done any leather work in...oh....45 or so years. Haha, its gonna be interesting if nothing else.

Nice FisherPal. Looks rough and tumble. A black cone would look really nice on that. Would hate to accidentally drop that out in the sticks. Never seen duct tape like that, or is that considered 'Duck' tape. :)

Geez ... I never thought about dropping it out in the bush. Already lost a 1000 mah Ego Twist that way! Then again, this mod shouldn't be able to fall out of my pocket quite so easily. It's kind of rough, for sure, but feels good in the hand at least.

BigMac ... you HAVE to post some pics of that when you are done! Would love to see a leather jacket for this!
