LOL, I was just thinking the drinking alcohol always makes things seem to work better...haha

I'd agree with you, normally Crocky! But when it comes to cleaning contacts...or even the atomizers...isopropyl is the best. I've been able to revive some shifus that date back to early April and that I thought were hopeless, even after several attempts to soak them in Vodka. Tried isopropyl on a whim (coupled with hot water rinsing and blowing out first) and knock me down with a feather, but the things are vaping like BRAND NEW again! I'm stunned! And I am now a believer. I let them dry thoroughly at least 10 hours before using.

Just wanted to make sure this data in on part II of this thread.....just in case it is ever needed.

I don't know where -- but this might help---This was post #2325:

The "Vent-Stack" O-ring is the smaller one, here it is:
OD = 7.6mm , to find in store it would be more like 7.5mm
ID = 5.6mm, to find in store, it would be more like 5.5mm

OD= 11mm

Wall thickness= 1mm
One O-ring size is used for both applications

Sorry if i misunderstood. BTW he also said lubricating them with juice helps them last, they're getting a lot of them, and they're working on a different type of gasket.

Update: The new gaskets (o rings) are on all current vmods and are also available for purchase from Vapage. And, they are the same size for both the vmod2 and the XL.

I'm a little disappointed found a crack in top front of the chassis of my xl. It's small hair line crack not affecting it's performance as of yet just upset because I've had it replaced a few times and this was supposed to be the stronger plastic by a new vender and it cracked in the almost same spot as the last one and now I'm way out of warranty.

Small issue I'm having. I've got one of my 2.0's that is not feeding. It's like the little hole is clogged or something. Tried a bath and nada. Tried hydrogen peroxide and nada. it's soaking in everclear right now. And by soaking, I mean I've poured a small amount into the top and am letting it sit.

How long should I leave it?

Have you removed all of the o-rings? What atty are you using? I had an encounter where the larger 510 thread well o-ring had worn out and had slipped one slot too low which was blocking the liquid delivery to the side notches on the Shifu atty. Felt like I was trying to blow up a balloon with every press of the bottle. There is a method to the madness of the o-rings and design.

Got some good news last night Brian/shifu is going to replace my chassis even though the warranty has expired quite some time ago. Thanks vapage much appreciated

Found the culprit...

View attachment 247232

Part of the 510-510 adapter I was using to try out my Reomizer2 on the vmod. Failed by the way, needed a couple of orings to seal it up and was too tall for it (IMO).

Great news FnMag.

That's great new too. Ninja Shifu seems to be a pretty good guy.

Brian really is a great guy. He went WAY above and beyond helping me a few months ago. I was totally surprised he contacted me and was so very cool and generous. Due to that, I probably will be a Vmodder ad infinitum. I really love the Vmod. It's probably the first APV that I haven't gotten a bit bored with after a couple of months. I've had mine since March...and still get a thrill using it!
