Cant help with the kayfun, never warmed up to mine much. The Taifun is my atty of choice these days. Easy to fill, easy to coil, and has a decent size tank.

hi mike !
looking at the taifun I see that you reversed the metal and clear section to ! that way it should last longer and not wear out the plastic
one thing puzzeled me for a while ...I put the combustion chamber onto the base and there was a bib gap when esembled . the chimney did not meet up with the chamber ...so the combustion chamber is not to go all the way down .. now put the chamber and the chimney together first and now makes sence. also looking at the metal sleeve ...much shorter than the clear one .
you seem to be happy with it ...what are you using for the wick and coil ? planning to use micro coil and cotton like on my kanger pro.
any other tips ?

The chamber sleeve has a grove on it so when when you pull it up it kind of stops in the right place. The sleeve is designed to drop to make access to the coil/wick easier. When I recoil I just pull the sleeve off to attach the coil, then I put the sleeve back on in the lowered position to get the wick started, then up into place and tidy up the wick and screw on the cap.

Yes, that combustion chamber wall is supposed to be up. It only goes down to make mounting the coil easier.

I am using AO ceramic and Hemp:

Vertical micro-coils with hemp packing also work good:

thanks guys !
just notised pulling the chamber up there is a very slight stop but the chimney oring has more friction then the bottom oring so it pushes the chamber back down without engaging the chimney o ring . it would be nice to have a more positive stop in the up position of the chamber. trying to work out all the little details before the coil and wick. thanks for the ideas for the different setups.
never had any luck with hemp ...tried it in a genny ..vapes a short time and the hemp slit wright out the coil after a couple of hits !
will go back and play with it some more so . vertical coils I tried in the kanger pro with cotton but not to sure that I like it better than a horizontal build .also snarf and bapps for you input. I ll get it sorted out.

That top o-ring will break in with time (and a drop of ejuice). That problem will resolve itself.

Bap tells us that the genuine Taifun does indeed have a more positive stop in the upper position. I have learned to make it work though, you get used to it.

Double check that the atty deck is pressed in square, I have heard of this not being square to the point that the chimney tube wouldn't line up.

Other than that, the clones can be a bit loose. Like Mike said try lubing the o-ring on the chimney tube. If that doesn't help I had luck slightly! squeezing my chamber sleeve in a pair of heat shrink covered pliers.

And yes....If you want one of the best vaping attys I have found and no issues, buy an authentic one.

Speaking of juice......Mike why did you get me hooked on flavoring that is so expensive

I got 32oz of juicy peach from PA for $28.50 and I got 2oz of peach from VZ for $32!!! :D

Yeah I know, Vape Crack.......
I have to ask because I have a bunch of VZ super concentrates (including peach), which line of VZ flavoring are you referring to?

Peach super concentrated alcohol based
Good stuff. I prefer it mixed with TFA juicy peach, 1.5% VZ/7-8% TFA/remainder% base.

Back on topic (sort of), which case are you planning on using for "The Punisher", Mike? Pardon me if I missed it, I read this and the "Girlie" mod thread but some info slips through the cracks with all I've been reading.

TFA or the flavor apprentice = PA or perfumers apprentice.....correct?

I have been mixing the juicy peach 50/50 with the VZ peach as I believe that is what Mike had done on some juice he sent me. The peach mike sent me was to much for me and gave me heartburn. Not wanting to waste it I mixed it 50/50 with my standard DIY watermelon frost, then fell in love with the result.

But with such a price discrepancy I might have to try more juicy peach and less VZ peach.

Not wanting to waste my remaining years.;) Went the old fashion way and made a cardboard mockup of my Tibs 3. This way Baps will know how to draw it...:D

Laid out flat used Baps templates for the holes.:)

Closed..

A few cardboard standoffs and the battery fit good.

Since I don't have a 3D printer, the old fashion way, resin and thin fiberglass cloth..:D

Ready for fiberglass and paint or CF....

Not a Baps masterpiece..but functional...:toast:

Now that's a true 'Box' mod!
