Ordered all the parts from Mouser for my 20 amp weekender in Mike's alum box. Going to use this lipo pack and mount the balancing plug off the side so I can use one of my RC chargers with an extension. Glad to see Mamu back and her precise instructions.

In the last week I have been using the Groove boards at 15 watts, it is strange but the original 3800 mAh flat lipos outlast the two round NCR 18650PF that would be 5800 mAh.. Mamu recommends switching the batteries at half cycle to keep them balanced on the Raptor 20 A, I have never had this problem with lipo packs in my RC's, so I am going with a lipo pack on this build.

I have a feeling you will really like that battery.

I just got this meter from hobby king....sadly the manual wasn't linked from the US warehouse and it says 2-8s....So I will have to see if I can rig it up to work off a power supply or something....but it does have a battery internal resistance checker feature that will be interesting to compare different batteries.

nice lipo find ! I ruined mi lipo s ..the tabs broke off right at the foil. after a couple of fixing my dropped dna20 mods w the round nano techs I will build a mod with the hardcase you are using . will make a leather pouch and use the hard case the way it comes.conectors and all . maybe rca plug and build the mod separate like an oval pen with a clip from a pen to clip to the pouch or even to my shirt pocket.
maybe a short audio cable with an rca plug . have some nice flexable heavy duty cable.
to many projects and not enouf time!
the raptor board seems nice ..love that build !

The battery that BJ linked is a 2s pack...intended to be used with a step down dc/dc converter...it is not compatible with the DNA unless you open up the hard case and convert it to a 1S2P pack.....then you would have an 8400mah pack.

And a pretty compact 8400 mAh.... Sometimes hard to find shorty singles in hi mAh.

There was a question of way use a lipo over the round cell 18650's

Below is why and I plan verify there is that much difference.

Sony 18650 US18650VTC3 30A 1600mAh - 12mOhm internal resistance
LG LGDAHE21865 2500mAh 30A batts - 13mOhm internal resistance
Orbtronic SX30 18650 30A 2100mAh - 19mOhm internal resistance

Turnigy nano-tech A-SPEC - 1.2mOhm internal resistance
