I have a bunch of old school 50/50 high nic juices from "back in the day". I literally can't give them away. All 10 ml bottles. The bigger bottles I mixed with VG to arrive at 75/25 and a reasonable nic.

My first trip, and likely only as its 500 feet, was ok. Not a big deal.

I have always stated it as VG/PG and mostly seen it that way. But I also usually specify that its VG/PG.
It's strange, for years if you wrote 30/70 everyone understood that to mean 30PG/70VG.

If you look at PBusardos old juice reviews he would always say "PG VG ratio".

It's just strange that convention stopped being used, it saved a lot of confusion.

In confusion there is opportunity for profit.

Havent been around for years on the vaping scene but have spent a fair amount of time in DIY discussions and anytime anyone said they mixed 70/30 everyone took it for granted it was a high VG mix. From my own observations of the juice scene there is a small faction that wants high PG yet the majority of people that vape more than a CE4 prefer more VG so it is usually now the VG listed first.
Look at this link selling Mothers Milk, Suicide Bunny Best Eliquid - 30ml - Mothers Milk
The ratio is listed as VG/PG. Same as this site shows for Bronsens Milk.Bronsen's Milk eJuice
List it as VG/PG.
Now I agree Boden, a standard would make things easier but so many people, by the millions are starting to vape every year and there are lots of other places where Vaporer's and DIY'ers meet and discuss things that making a standard stick, even if there was one in the past is like whistling in the wind.

It seems that the new "cloud bro" eliquid makers flipped it.

If you put this in the forum search you'll see what I mean.

the pg vg ratio
When I started, that was the convention. I think about a year ago, once places started offering "max vg" it mostly switched. Now I make sure to check whenever I order because older vendors might still use pg/vg, but newer ones almost always state vg/pg.

Well on the PG/VG thing, Back in the day (look at my join date :)), EVERYTHING was PG, VG came as a way to get a little more vapor and to thicken the juice to slow flooding the atomizer, PV's Sucked back then. So as ALL juice started out as Only PG (Long Before a lot of you even knew about vaping), that is what I have equated as the first number, PG. I feel it was the cloud chasers that were doing Max VG for bigger clouds that flip flopped the numbers. JMHO. :)

I remember quite well. (Started vaping in 2010) I would buy 24mg and add some CVS brand VG to get it down to 18mg. I really don't miss Chinese eliquid . :)
