First day off of work and finally get to try the Vape Flask Clone squonk mod I got from Gearbest. First off, dont buy from gearbest if you want it anytime soon. When I ordered it, it said it was in stock and 3 to 5 business days to ship it. 13 days later they shipped it.

Now for the vape flask clone. It takes squonking to a new level. I cant explain or understand it for the Terminator squank box is unregulated so should of been max voltage/wattage the battery can put out ever time it fired but with the vapor flask set at 40 watts, it vapes way better than the Terminator did and lots more flavor/clouds.

Now for what I dont like. The bottle in it is very small, about 2/3 the size of the Terminator bottle. The bottle also is tight and hard to get out. When you put the bottle back into the mod you have to stab the hose onto the squonk tube and in a dark recess, its hard to do.

So the Vape Flask clone has some pro's and con's and it will take some using it to decide if its worthy or not.

Yeah, someone pointed me to the VaporFlask clone, I've never bought an APV Clone only Mech Clones.. Would be interested on your take on it after using it for a while..

Between the wires o_O

Vapors are really small :w00t:
Building my first coil ever today. Expect to be wondering where I went wrong soon haha. Sticking with spaced coil maximum wick contact area we talked about so my vapors don't have a tortuous path to escape ;)

What ya building on yo??

Rewicking an Orchid now. The channel are ground out so wicking has to be just so but when its on it will actually keep up with a Chutulu. Thos two tanks are my daily drivers.

Thinking about building a Russian 91% also. Not sure its worth the bother. I can't see how juice can get through those tiny channels.

Here's a test you can do.

Take the Russian with no coil or wick installed and fill it with eliquid.

Put the fill screw back in.

Turn it right side up over a cup.

Unscrew the top cap.

If the thing floods like mad it works :D

Why I think my Russian has some issues!!!!

Its my first "high end" authentic atty but it was used.

I been fighting with it for an hour and I believe she's toast. Wonder if I can get a deck cheap.

Be back in like 12 hours. The innerweb is a huge rabbit hole for vape stuff.

Those Reo thingies are pretty cheap in the classies.

Whats kept me from grabbing one is I wanna get one with an atty ready to roll and I haven't found the perfect match yet.

That, and one other issue is what keeps me from being really interested in those: I've never been able to get an answer to, will a REO take a Kick? The Kick has to have conductive metal around it, like the battery tube of regular tube mods. I don't know if the REO has a metal tube like that for the battery.

The one on the left/top is the Russian, on the right/bottom a KFL.

No, the Reo doesn't have a metal tube for the battery. And looking at mine I don't think it would work, the battery sits flush against a delrin block and the firing pin travels down to it.

ETA: If you did squeeze a kick into it it may compress the spring and you'd lose the short "protection".

My first coil build ever, subtank mini RBA V2. Using tools at hand, small jewelers screwdriver (2.5 to 3 mm), small dykes, hands. I have Kanthal of various sizes on order, but all I had on hand was a piece of 26 AWG they gave me at my local Madvapes, and some Japanese Cotton I bought there as well (more of that on order as well). I wanted to build out to 1.2 or so ohms for my tootle puffing taste, but no way I could do that with this gauge and have it over the air hole, so I settled for 7 wraps, and spaced it manually after wrapping, then position the height of the coil similar to the 0.5 ohm pre-built coil that was in there (which I had no desire to use). Ended up with 0.9 ohms on my istick30W, which usual is a little high, probably somewhere over 0.8 ohms. Dry fired it, looked good.
I use 70pg/30 vg NET, used 12 mg nic for this one, pretty thin so I wanted a fair amount of cotton to minimize the potential for leaks out of the air holes (which happened with the stock 1.2 ohm VOCC on my second day of use). I pulled the cotton up the can and cut about 1/4 inch above it, then stuffed it back down, looks good. Put a little juice on the coil/wick area, and a little on the side holes, but didn't saturate the cotton because of science. Put it back together, filled the tank, put the coil in, let it set and took a few unfired hits now and then to thoroughly soak the cotton (and establish vacuum at the same time, hence why I didn't saturate it outside the tank). Fired it up at 12 W being the tootle puffer that I am and my was it good, lol. Warm, so took it to 10W... still good rich vapor, great flavor not cloud chucking. :) Have it laying on its side to see if it leaks like it did with my VOCCs (after the cotton became over-saturated). Flavor wise, first try is a big ugly coiled success :)

The postive post is held by a screw. If I tighten the screw enough to hold the block its to far in to make contact.

I have found pics stating there is another screw inside the deck under the 510 screw. Mine does not have this second screw or a place for it to be.

i have about 40 Reos...

the metal Reos work with a kick, but you have to use an 18490 battery, instead of an 18650.

if the Reo is anodized or powder-coated, you will need to sand the inside of the Reo to make sure the kick gets good contact.

you may also need to devise a way to make sure the kick stays in contact. some people, for example, have made things by cutting up pink erasers... some people have used the kick2 successfully in Reos without any tricks, but i havent tried that yet.
