Some people are more afraid of the internet than anything real. I have no idea why, but a lot of folks seem to be afraid of COMPUTERS, as if the computer is gonna slap them or something if they do something dumb, instead of generally giving the equivalent of "bad command or filename."

And some people dont have enough fear of the internet. Just a couple weeks ago on one of these DIY FB pages I called BS to the so called "leaked" Unicorn milk recipe and was slammed a few times by peeps who swore its real because they seen a blog where the owner of CutWood swore it was the real recipe. I just had to laugh at how stupid some peoples children can be, but they seen it on the internet so it must be real

It's like any other powerful tool -- in the right hands, it's a miracle -- in the wrong hands, or with the wrong attitude, it's suicide.

Well crud, might have to eat crow on this one.... Got my order of Capella's flavors in today and whipped up a 30 ml batch of the so called clone......Its very close and its not even near done steeping yet. Close enough where I whipped up a 150 ml batch of it. I have vaped many, many bottles of Unicorn Milk and have a bottle on hand of the real stuff. Dont know if it could pass the blind taste test its that close.

I posted this as well in the Tootle Thread...

OT Computer stuff guys, but there seems to be some MCSE types in here as well...

Boss want's to play with SharePoint 2013.

So I have a Server 2013 Trial and a copy of SharePoint 2013 Trial that I pulled down from Microsoft. The first time I set it up there were nothing but errors everywhere. So it's been wiped and I am reloading Server 2013 again for a fresh start.

Will SharePoint run on a Standalone with no Domain functionality? I am not interested in any type or Farm installation, just something to set up for him to play click the web page and share a document etc... The novelty for him will wear off quickly so I just need to get it up and running easily.

Any tips or guides to make this process less painful?

Many Thanks!

I'm not even really sure what Sharepoint *IS*. :D

I did a little web design for the dot-NET/ASP framework a few years ago, and man, that's a completely different animal from Linux servers. Had to quit though, as I could no longer afford both types of hosting, so I stuck with Linux/HTML.

Many Thanks Anyway!

It's all good, I think I found a decent how to on technet so I'll beat on that for a while and see how it turns out... If anything it advances the clock and gives me more time to read ECF. ;)

Been reading the programming talk here and thought yall would appreciate this. So today at work (family business) my Mom asked me to send a letter she wrote to a friend to which I happily obliged. I went to the computer with the scanner on it and proceeded to scan the letter, attach it to an email, and sent it to her friend.

Once I was done I told her that it had been sent, she picked the letter up from the tray on the document scanner and said,"But I wanted this to be sent with the email." I just smiled, said it was sent and that's just a copy. :)
