Well I'm not that big of a fan of the velocity to begin with. Too much air, and I prefer single coils. That and the leaking from no draining, puts the velocity out of my normal rotation.

Im not a fan of restrictive airflow. I like it airish but the velocity I am squonking with I dont have set on wide open. I seem to get better flavor when I cut it back some.

I agree, the Velocity seems to shine with the airflow slot about half open and with the stupid indirect holes shut.

The physics behind this is increased airflow velocity (no pun) increases the evaporation rate.

It's pretty finicky :( I installed a Ni200 coil, but I think my juice is too thick (I'm "max" VG, and I have struggled with wicking) Kept getting the DRY COIL message :(

I'm going to rewick and see if that helps. Prolly gonna pull out some 50/50 (or higher PG if I have any) to see if that helps. I so want to use the Minis, but they're REALLY frustrating me....

I usually run Max VG through my Kayfuns as well.. Iv thought about putting a Ni200 build in one of my KF4's because I leave the Stainless tank on it.. Never really get dry-hits anyway cause I can just start to feel it getting low, but still somewhat interests me.. Really like the look of the KF Mini for certain setups, have heard it can be tricky to wick, kinda why I was asking.. :D

I rewicked with way less cotton than I would have imagined and used a slightly-higher PG juice. It's behaving much better, but I have to tootle-puff it to stave off the DRY COIL message....

It's working (at least for now). I don't know why, but I am using 26g Ni200 (I have 28 and 32 - gotta get some 30). I guess I'm full of experimentation today (since I haven't done a bloody other thing today!)

ERGH - dry hit, dry hit, dry hit.... Maybe I'll go rebuild the coil with the 32g - I can use fewer wraps and maybe give myself more room in the chamber - hell I don't know :(

I would if I could get the damn thing to wick correctly. Can ya point a sistah to your wick tricks? I love the look of it, but.....
The KF Mini is a dog with MaxVG right from the start, I always use 50/50 or higher in mine. There is less room between the chimney and tank wall with the plastic tank than the metal tank, the max VG just won't flow properly...

As far as wicking, I just pull through the coil, bunny ear up through the chimney, trim a mm higher than the edge and poke back down. Keep the tails away from the juice holes, wet and reassemble to fill from the top. Have a paper towel ready to blow out excess and you are good to go, but you already know that last part. I don't usually bother with Rayon in the Mini as the deck is so small, I usually run different juices through it and just can't be bothered trimming it properly. So I cut a piece of KGD, peel off one skin side, roll the end and pull. When straightening out the wick I try to keep the other skin side towards the deck.

I have 26g Ti in mine at the moment, 5 wraps on 2.5mm for 0.2 ohms. So much easier to make a contact coil for that little tiny deck than using Ni-200.

The Kayfun Mini is like a Red Headed Step Child when it doesn't want to cooperate.
