do you at least have it immobilized?? You gotta take better care of yourself than that
Well, the sling stops me from trying to lift at the shoulder - I can use the forearm without pain. The problem with planning ahead to "take better care" of myself is that, like in my youth, I never consider that anything bad will ever happen to me, which is how this body has gotten as beat up as it is, because I constantly abuse it. It got abuse in the USAF (right out of high school - Vietnam era ya know). They never supplied hearing protection with the M16s and F100 afterburners, so today I wear hearing aids. And glasses. And two steel total knee replacements. And carpel tunnel both wrists. And they tell me they won't even try to fix the spine... but I refuse to just sit on my .... like some old person. There's work to do here on the farm and Lannie can't do it all by herself.

<---- Oh look! That ECF Veteran thingie just showed up on my avatar, so now I am one year old too. Does that mean I get to act differently now? :D

Sumpthin stoopid, of course. I was pulling a piece of wood off the barn wall because the screws wouldn't come out and suddenly my left shoulder screamed at me and I couldn't use it no more. Seems to have ripped the muscle right at the top. Can't lift that arm without severe pain now. This too shall pass...

I feel your pain Fuzzy! I was installing a new hot water heater in the house last August. As I was picking it up and placing it in position and I felt my shoulder rip like breaking dry spaghetti. Pop pop pop! Went to the orthopedic. Had a MRI done and I've torn the Labrum. I took a cortisone shot which has helped but I think another is in order. He also told me that I have bone spurs and arthritis as well. He said surgery is needed and would be an out patient one. Problem is that the recovery time is 8-12 months!!!:eek: I can't be laid up for that amount of time!! So like you I suffer with the pain. :facepalm: Besides it only hurts when I move! :D

Rixy, we enjoy your company and your comments... and Em's too. And we do not want you to run away. Why can't you just filter out the job portion and talk "as if" this was personal experience? Leave out the "shop" and "job" and all that stuff and just tell us what you discovered. Why is everyone acting like they cannot speak about anything if they work at a vape shop? So you cannot say anything that promotes their business; that does not stop you from sharing your personal experiences so long as you leave your employer out of it. I worked for a large electronics company for 20 years and it never stopped me from discussing electronics without having to say the name of the company or promote their brand. I know you can do this...

I thought I could move on but I dam well can't, it's rediculous.

Rich I respect you so much but it's my pride and just what is right and what is wrong, once again I find myself speaking out. I cannot and will not put up with these navi rules.

Well, their house, their rules, Rixsta. It pays for us to be aware of and (at least try to!) follow them.

My house is a no smoking house. (Vaping, of course, is NOT smoking, so that's fine :) ) Somebody lights up in my house, well, I'm free to throw them out.

As said, you're "free" to talk about gear, juice, flavorings and all, just not to do so in a way that might seem to be related to a specific business, so you don't appear to be an unregistered supplier. User should be ok.

And if you have issues with specific rules, best to take that via PM/Conversation to the appropriate moderators, not in open threads. (Also one of the rules.)

Yay!!!! Congrats!!! So did you also hit your first year smoke free?????

oh man........so sorry hun..........that stinks. Sometimes you can get temporary disability for something like that with the surgery. In fact, usually you can but I don't know the specifics.

So what am I doing here, there is absolutely no point posting anymore.
well gee thanks! I don't mean that, but trying to get a point across. Most of us don't have time for two forums. Like someone else said, you can still talk about things. Hey.....guess what I saw the other day, it was a ..... and it was great. Or I tried a ..... the other day. Just not I tried a ...... the other day at the VS where I work.

If you had any idea of mega crap I've put up with on another thread for the last 10 or 11 months......yur head would explode. Why did I put up with it and (mostly) let it roll off my back?? Cuz I have wonderful friends there who love me and I love them, and I don't want to be away from them! And it wasn't just well I can't talk about something, it was enduring personal attacks, both in private and in front of others! But I did it. We love you Rixy and Ems. If you feel you need to leave, then I suppose we can't stop you, but I do say this in all love............suck it up buttercup!!! We want you here with us!! How much?? Many have tried to get me to go to another place when things have happened here.......YOU and EMs were the only ones who succeeded in getting me to post. And please........Robin went through a lot of effort to make things ok here for you. Don't break the rules and make things harder for her. :wub: :wub: :wub:

@Debadoo

Not worried about the disability part of it. The idea that I'd be unable to take care of things for months is what really bothers me. I'm not one to sit still. :facepalm:
well ya could find yourself unable to do many things permanently if ya don't get it properly taken care of. So if the $ isn't the issue......git yur .... in the OR!!! lol It'll heal if ya don't, but likely the wrong way giving you very limited movement. Think about John McCain. He can't lift his arms up hardly at all because of the same type of stuff.
