When a doctor told me I had to quit smoking or he would not do an operation I needed, I knew I didnt have a choice so I bought an ego starter kit from a gas station and a couple bottles of VapinPlus rich tobacco 18mg juice which was the strongest they had. That was on a Thursday and four days later I smoked my last cig. I was smoking on average three packs a day of stuff your own cigs. I was a Marlboro smoker and at close to $50 a carton then it was getting too much so I switched to pall malls and then started buying the pound bags of tobacco and stuffing my own cigs.
I never had a withdrawal until maybe two to three months after I quit. At work one day I started having a huge urge for a smoke and that lasted a couple days but I vaped my 18 mg juice right thru it. What surprised me was when I joined ECF and seen people was using 24 mg and 36 mg juice and still having problems quitting the stinkies. I know everyone's
vaping journey is different but still was amazed at how strong their juice was. It would of made my head swim and I was a heavy smoker.
After I started DIYing I dropped my nic level just because. The doc told me nicotine hindered healing for it restricted the little capillaries at a wound site and slowed the healing process, but also I didnt want to be a slave to nicotine anymore. I went to 16mg, then 14 mg and 12mg which is what I was
vaping at my 9 month mark when I discovered the Kayfun. Moving from CE5's to kayfuns is a major step up to me. My juices was flavor overloads and it was giving me a head rush so I had to mix up a bunch of new juices with a lot less flavor in them and I cut my nic to 6 mg. 12mg was making me sick. Now I vape at 3 mg and been mixing some up at 2 mg these last couple months. Basically thats my vaping journey.
I see no real need to cut nicotine, that is more a personal choice then anything. From all I seen nicotine is no more harmful than caffeine. I still get surprised when I hear of people using high levels of nicotine but if that is what it takes to stay off the smokes then go for it! An if that is someones personal choice then go for it too.
