I found a drawback to rebuilding the stock iSub coils. The rubber insulators. One got torn (or it cracked from age, these things are 8 or 9 months old now and have been in constant use the whole time), and the "inside" coil leg was touching the outside barrel, so it was reading 0.00 ohms. Dead short. So Rich just ordered me half a dozen of the RBAs.

I really, REALLY hate to throw anything away, and this seems like such a simple little thing (the rubber insulator), but I have no clue how to go about searching for replacements. Does anyone know if such a thing might be available somewhere? Or would it only be available to Innokin to make the original coils with?

I'd contact one of the Innokin people, but I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate me trying to rebuild stock coils instead of buying new ones.
In the old days you could search for a thread from someone who rebuilt them and took the time to detail it, and usually someone would a link to replacement pieces, which were normally repurposed from other things. I'm not sure how much of that there is now, since most tanks offer a deck that is specifically rebuildable.

Yeah, I guess I'm always a little late to everything... Like getting replacement glass for these tanks. I just went to Fasttech looking for some, and they used to have a 15-pack of them for $10, and now they have NOTHING. ZERO replacement tanks for the iSub G. They have glass for the iSub S, but it's different dimensions, and I don't think it will work. I should have gotten that 15-pack several months ago, but I was going to "get it later." See what "getting it later" gets you? It gets you nothing. :(

@Rixsta will you check for me? You have both the G and the S tanks now, right? Can you see if the glass is interchangeable or not? I'm thinking not...

iirc, the insulator of an AGA-T2 could be used as a replacement grommet for a kanger T3 head.

Was that intended for me? I don't know what an AGA-T2 is, but on the other hand, I don't have a Kanger T3, either. :)

not really intended for you, that was just the last time I searched for replacement parts for a non rebuildable clearo. Laughing at myself.

The "Cloudz Bro" would shine on that coil with a thicker juice.

I like 50/50 as well, it wicks easily in everything.
yeah but my STM makes moar vapor with thicker juice too. Tried it at 75 VG once and Klowdz fer daze bro.

Just seems like there is an inverse squared diminishing return of vapor on watts consumed.
