With all due respect Sir
Claptons were designed for much higher wattage and longer pulls, you just can't do that with normal builds. They are for drippers with massive airflow or Rdta's, big 100w, fill ya lungs pulls of warm tasty vapor. Ain't no Clapton gonna work in the likes of the Merlin, Goblin minis, serpents ect... or any kind of womp tank. We need the longer ramp up time to be able to draw more without the wicks drying out for that style of vaping. The longer ramp up sucks more juice into the cotton over a longer amount of time, a single coil that heats up instant, you have to lower the wattage, it dries the cotton out too quick to work in a dripper properly and reduces flavor. In a tank where the cotton is always saturated then yes. That's why the majority of people run Claptons in big dual RDA's. If you don't vape like that don't use those type of coils, they won't work. I dont have the science behind it, I just know from vaping on them everyday they work when used properly. I hear people say that they are over rated and there's too much metal ect, they don't build low, they dont use them correctly, they ain't got the right gear to use them correctly ! and they ain't gone to the darkside.

0.75%About what I do then.
Boden is more like 2%.
slightly sweet natural coconut.speakin of boden..........where do you buy your coconut extra? And I forget if you said it tasted like mounds bar coconut or raw coconut, cuz some of the reviews I saw said different things
I just put "for me at this point in time" at the end of any statement like that.Wut in the sam heck does 'best flavor' even mean, good grief.![]()
Methinks it's a job for science guy and the notepad o' science.![]()
Now I gotta look something else up, sheesh
Edit: too many design flaws
STOP! I will NOT allow you to tempt me into cheating on my Boreas!![]()

More air, more vapor, more satisfaction, more darkness, I love it !!....and for me, more flavor.By the way Rixster, I'm blaming you for my ongoing journey to the dark side. I have been happy using my Merlins with the airflow insert installed. Thought that was a most excellent vape. But the last couple days it is very unsatisfying. So I will be pulling the insert out and trying to bring back the love. I needs more air and it's all your fault.
Not sure why it's your fault, but I gotta blame someone!![]()

And I'm a custard head and a bakery freak, your right Boden on what you say....(usually are....shhhh, don't tell him)I figured out what Claptons are good at. Bakery flavors and warm sweets.
I realized that for food flavors that are better warm a high mass coil will give that warmth without drowning you in vapor. For fruits a low mass coil is better as it produces a cooler dense vapor.
The coconut Bavarian cream I was using yesterday was a chore because it was a cool dense vape. I suspect that with the warmer Clapton it will be better.
Naw....a Custom Classic with a derringer....and a boneyard coil [emoji3]It means a Reo and a Derringer.......duhhhhhhhh lol
I was just drying out the wick in the Clapton build before I start the test and I can already tell this will be a much more pleasant vape. And I'm a custard head and a bakery freak, your right Boden on what you say....(usually are....shhhh, don't tell him)
Hahaha, nice oneIt means a Reo and a Derringer.......duhhhhhhhh lol
