Absolutely Gorgeous!

You really should put the new firmware on as it adds all the SS wire settings. Just right click the little box and use "Save Link As" or "Save Target As" depending on your browser. This will present you with a save dialog to chose where you want to save the .DFU file.

They have a great video on the download page about updating the firmware too.

U da man!!!! :thumb: I had everything else but couldn't get the firmware. Thanks TD!!

Updated and ready to rock!!:rickroll:

Hey all. ...just dropping by before I go to sleep. ....gotta 3:15 am call time tomorrow (playing a creepy fantasy creature on a new big budget movie....can't say more, they are super secretive about it at this point).

So y'all need to watch the second season of "The ranch", a Netflix comedy with Ashton Kutcher and Sam Elliott. My ugly mug is on there (in the cattle auction episode). :D

So after having the weekend to play with the Hohm Wrecker G2 I am really impressed. Looks on this mod will be subjective. Personally I think it looks much better in hand then the pictures on the web. Battery life has been really good. I have only gone through 2 battery changes a day mostly vaping in SS TC @ 65 watts and above to 80 watts.

I have tried Kanthal TC and YES it does work!! I will say though that it is very finicky. Things do have to align right. I tried using subtanks to do it and have not tried a RTA or RDA yet with a Kanthal build. I had problems using a Kanger ST Plus with the RBA section. Fine tuning it proved to be troubling. I switched to my Atlantis V2 with a .5 coil and I was able to fine tune it very easily. I was able to empty the tank all the way and no cotton burn or dry hit at all. Also worked well with my Innokin iSubG and their .5ohm coil.

I have not Ni or Ti yet and may in the future. This mod, more specific the FSK chip, has to be the most underrated chip out there. I have been a fan of the DNA for some time but I have to say this might just be better (insert insults here!). I think the SS TC definitely works better on the FSK chip which is basically the way I vape the most. I am becoming a fan. The chip does have some hic ups. Whenever I swap an atty or change batteries it sometimes gives me the Damaged Atty warning. Screwing off the atty and then back on solves the issue but I think that this needs to be addressed in a firmware fix. The UI is very easy to use once you know what buttons to press. I think that they should have some info either in their manual or on their website explaining how to access everything.

I was going to build another DNA mod but I'm now seriously considering buying an FSK chip or 2 and using it instead. I hope to see these chips in some different form factors other than a regular box. I hope they keep improving the firmware and look forward to whatever they come out with. I will buy probably buy the Slice and maybe another G2 in the near future.

Glad to hear you like the G2 LJF!
Yes Kanthal TC can be finicky and will change depending on wire or atty... The Damaged Atomizer you get when changing atty's, is the resistance changing too much due to the G2 keeping old settings. Before you screw the new atty down snug (no contact), hit the fire button and then screw it down within 10 seconds. Hitting the Fire button again should set it up proper without the DA error message.

The Slice has some issues with the battery door and paint, just saying...

A squonk flask with the FSK board, now that would be schweet!!

They have a dual 26650 The HOhm Run and a Triple 18650 (G3?) in the works, hopefully we will see some previews soon.!

Thanks TD. That's what I've been doing. It has happened even when I leave the same atty on and swap batts. It's a little quirk but nothing drastic.
A squonk flask would be sweet indeed!! :thumb:
Glad to hear that they have some new stuff in the pipeline.
I'd be very interested when they come out. Look forward to it!!!

So I was sitting around bored today and decided to experiment. I used my Boreas (my favorite) build deck. I built a single spaced 26/36ga Clapton in the dual deck. I used a 4.0 coil jig and did 7 spaced wraps. It came out to .74 ohms. I thought that it might leak since the deck is made for dual builds. Surprisingly it hasn't. I made the tails long enough to cover the 2 wicking holes. I thought that was going to block some of the airflow but again I was surprised that it didn't. I think the next build will be on a smaller ID to get it around .5 ohm.

Very nice vape in TC on the Hohm Wrecker. I have it maxed out at 7.5 volts and its still a cool vape! I also tried it in wattage mode maxed out at 7.5 volts at 75 watts and yes it's still cool. May have to switch it to the VT133 to get some more volts so I can warm the vape up.

I just put it back in SS TC and upped the temp to 600 degrees & 100 watts. It's starting to get warmer and denser. I never vaped anything at 600 degrees in TC but for this build it's a nice vape. Not sure if I will get a dry hit when the liquid goes down but I'm willing to give it a shot!

Now that is a wee beastie of a coil... The 7.5V limit is an problem, but my builds are all in the 0.1Ω to 0.3Ω range so I never hit the limit with daily use.

Make a parallel version to get rid of the limit. :D

I'm like you usually in the .2 to .3 ohm range. I was just messing around and wanted to see what it would come up to. Parallel Claptons sound interesting.
