Rixy, sorry to hear about your stomachs. Glad you're both better. How do you like the fire button placement on the Fuchai? I know it's very much like the G class, but I don't think I have a mod with a fire button position like that and wonder how it feels.

It feels great if your a thumb firer like me, it's in the perfect place for that Eskie.
The mod feels nice but I have heard temp control is a bit meh but I don't use it so can't comment. The buttons are nice and clicky, I prefer this way more than the Smok G2/4, the battery door on that sucks. This is a solid mod for the money and well built.

Segeli has a history of TC issues, and the Smok mods of late suck at TC. I keep hoping they'll release a firmware update to fix that, but that's like hoping for a seat on the first lifeboat off the Titanic. I like my Alien and all, but I'd love it if TC was at least tolerable for me.

Just picked up a (new in box) Drone for a good price off a Canadian vape buy and sell group. Also ordered 3 of those YFTK soft bottles, a Pulse and a Trishul to put on it.

It's good to have a pulse :)

Got my second Aromamizer Plus in gun metal, still rate this as the best even after months of use (months ? think it is now)

Just amazing.

Built some 4mm fused claptons, came out at a nice 0.25ohm, 80w vaping on some Strawberry Shortbread, have to give this the edge over the 25mm version just based on wicking, this just wicks better due to the large open juice holes under the deck and the postless deck is great........but I've said all this before in my review..

Looking great on the Sig

So, the PSA-just because you have never had a problem doesn't mean you can neglect taking the proper safety precautions. Every! Single! Time!
Good reminder. I don't really inspect my batts like I should. I am really careful with them though. I do put tape tabs on them so my nails don't dig into the (forgot the word), "covering" when I put em in and out of mods/chargers. But thanks for the reminder. Definitely need to make it a point to check em out at every charge.

Try it now - since you've quoted it, the pic might show?

I'm baaaaaack...

Long long long trip. Spent 22 hours on the road. Ouch. I ain't as young as once I was.

But, I had The Wife, the farm, the broom shop, a retail store, and vapemail waiting, so...

Vapemail included a Digiflavor Siren 25, a Digiflavor Pharaoh RTA, a Taifun BT, and some stunning custom replacement plates for my old LMC200...

Some early thoughts on the Taifun BT...

A quick rinse and dry, and I was ready. Here's what I learned...

1. When is comes to the mesh, less is better.

2. When it comes to the cotton, more is better.

3. The pins need to be twisted a bit to ensure proper contact.

Long story short, throw out everything you know about wicking. The wick needs to fill the deck, and be packed and mounded in the mesh. Make very sure that the cotton is tucked into every nook and cranny and mounded a bit on top. Don't pack it rock hard, but it's gotta be full full full.

My first build, I cut the mesh the height of the slot. That's too much, and it was hard to get proper clearance between the deck and the mesh. This led to stray pieces of mesh making unseen contact and fluctuating resistance. About 3/4 the depth of the slots is working great in my second build.

When I wicked the first build, I made sure there was cotton everywhere, but it was loose... I was planning on the cotton expanding as it was juiced up. That's what normally happens, but with this build, you've also got to consider what happens as the liquid is vaporized and the cotton shrinks again. I ended up using nearly twice as much cotton as I expected.

There was a rumor that the mesh included with the FT kit... the first one available... was Ni200 mesh. Of course, I can't speak for all kits, but the mesh in mine was SS. At least, the resistance was as I expected, and it colored when pulsed. Even so, I did my second build with some coarser mesh I had on hand... I think the included mesh is 400, and I think I used 250 the socond time 'round.

The first build yielded a nice vape, but a lot of nasty hot spot hits. The second build, after adding even more cotton after the initial wicking, is performing flawlessly.

I am curious to see how it'll behave in TC. I have a feeling it won't behave at all...

So far, I've run close to 30 ml through it... I still get the occasional dry hit courtesy of hit spots when I chain vape... but other than that, wow!

Yep, wouldn't want to see your Reo go boom. Speaking of which, I've seen a lot of Reo's for sale the last couple weeks in the classies.

Meet the newest member of my squonk brigade (and my first dual batt mech), affectionately nicknamed Spanky.
The mod is a custom built parallel squonk box, built originally for Hank Spankman, who is largely responsible for pushing me down the squonk path. The atty is the envii Yeti, which he had been trying to convince me to buy shortly before he passed.
