@Lannie Didn't know you were using the 2.5mm deck. That deck is for big Clapton builds with very high VG juice. Even my build, I don't think I need the bigger deck, I know for a fact if I wasn't pumping 85w through it, it would start to leak, add on the fact your using rayon and to me, big juice holes, too lower wattage, it can't vaporize it fast enough as your pulling it through the wicks, it's flooding.
This tank isn't like any other sub ohm tank, it's a different ball game and I've always said to people it needs big coils, big wicks, high VG and high wattage or it just isn't going to work well, I got a lot of angry people jump on me about that but I know this tank inside out and stand by it.

First thing to do is take out that bigger deck, you shouldn't be using that one with a 26g single kanthal build. Sounds like your wicks were right, I've never used rayon but I know it wicks fast.

It can be stressful too Lannie, I got so stressed with my moonshot leaking it put me in a bad mood for half the day lol

Oh and I don't mean to sound like a bossy ding bat, I'm just trying to help xx

And you're being a GREAT help! All y'alls are! ;)

@Lannie, that could be another thing that didn't help, to much juice on the wicks before you filled her up. Drop some on the coils and fire the coil at about 40w just enough for it to suck the juice up, repeat until they have enough juice on them and gently pat down in the base and away from the bottom of the coils.(but still on the deck). A combination of everything is most likely the reason x
One last thing, the more you mess about with the afc/juice control the more juice comes out those holes too. You vape it on three, leave it on three, even when you bottom fill it. I run mine wide open, that afc ring is for show on mine lol

Oh tootle puffing is soooo much easier ha

OK, I'll do that. If I understand you correctly, you're saying to put the deck on a mod and "prep" the coils and wicks before I put it back in the tank. Right? I've been treating it as I would any other tank, which is probably my biggest mistake, eh? LOL! In my limited amount of experimenting yesterday, I think I'm most comfortable with 2 air holes or less, so I'll just set it there and see how it goes. I've already put the bigger deck away, and the little one is ready to have coils put in it. I'm crossing my fingers! :)

It will be pretty ! It ain't up to scratch for me yet.

Ok, been thinking this for a while but wow Debs, how come your always up so early, maybe I'm being a nosey parker haha. Do you have trouble sleeping, OH, ya better not wake me up in the RV wanting a cuppa at 5am !!! :p

If the RV is parked here, she can come in the house for coffee anytime after 4:00. ;) The coffee pot goes off automatically at 3:30 every morning, and I'm usually dragging myself outta bed between then and 4:00. But I'm usually in bed by 8:30pm or so, and even earlier in the winter. If I had company visiting, I'd prolly stay up later, but don't blame me if I have a psychotic episode from lack of sleep! :w00t:

don't git me in the posh dwellings......I'll have my plate on my knees and my napkin under my chin!! lmao!

Oh, you'd fit in PERFECTLY here! We don't know the MEANING of the word posh! I mean, fer cryin' out loud, there's a chicken in the living room! :p

My boss goes absolutely nuts when he hears someone say warsh. Doesn't help that his girlfriend says it all the time.

So, Rixy, is this Boreas pretty sturdy, then? As in it will last for a long time? 'Cuz if I ever graduate to claptons or other exotic coils, it would be nice to have one tank at least that could handle it. Maybe I'll never make it to the "big deck," but it's nice to know that I might have something that will still allow me to "grow into" it, you know?

my son always makes fun of me for saying onced and twiced lol

but one ever made fun of me for sayin ustacould til that damn jeff foxworthy got famous

The one I don't understand is "might could." "Might" implies maybe, and "could" implies definitely. It's always confused me! LOL! But I'm a Yank, born and bred... ;)

Should last a very long time, the thing that will go first will be the O rings I guess, not sure if anyone sells spares.
As for the claptons, 90% of people run them in the smaller deck anyway, in fact, I never used the bigger deck when I had the black one, yesterday was the first time I have used it and I'm having to run it high, 90w now, the thing about the larger holes is I can take slower draws on it, I like to vape like that, now on the supreme it would dry hit as it couldn't keep up, in fact all my rta's will dry hit doing that, this doesn't.....I will put the smaller deck in on my next build, which will probably be today when I put SS Claptons in and rock some temp control on my dna200...
I dunno, I might just leave it as it's running so well atm.
In saying all this, I do enjoy the Gemini, it's actually a lower build in there 0.25ohm and that's running at 65w, that rta is hassle free, super smooth airflow and I can turn off the juice flow, fill it from the top and vape it. The boreas i'm constantly monitoring it, there is such a fine line with that tank, one wrong move and it will puke like a baby.
I use the Gemini more than any other tank I own, I would like to buy the mega but the flavor from the 22mm is so good I'm afraid it might mute the flavor, which is of course what happens on all 25mm tanks, no matter what people say and that is why I run big claptons in those type of tanks to gain the flavor back....to a degree.. That's also another reason why some reviewers say they lack flavor, they do if you build em like regular ones. I have had some epic battles will people over this subject to a point of, ya know what, whatever, that is why you only really see me in here now, in this woom even if peeps don't agree and of course they have every right not to, free speech an all but they usually don't bash me on the head about it (excluding debs of course haha) I guess you get more adults in here, hmmm, I was laughing when I typed that or maybe everyone is so nuts they don't give a dam what I say hahaha. I'm in a happy mood today for some reason.
So to round it up, does the Gemini have more flavor than the Boreas, you bet it does.

    Genini build 2.5mm claptons 6 wraps 0.25ohm
    Boreas build 3mm Claptons 7 wraps 0.34ohm

Same juice, Gemini has more flavor but then that Boreas, ow, that dense warm thick vapor that I love to blow over Emma and annoy her while shes trying to read, it's a trade off, thats why I own both. There is another advantage, my summer fruits is great in the Boreas but overpowering in the Gem, oh rixy, just shut up an vape.
I have rambled so far of course I need to cag a lift back !

Don't let this happen to you!

"Can't git there from here" means you have to go somewhere else first. Basically, there is no direct route.
